Same problem, can't log into my characters in space. And too dangerous in lowsec to wait around and see if it clears up.

I have the same problem, using an i7 and GT 540M.
Once every 5 or so attempts, I will manage to log in successfully, but the client simply drops me after about 30 seconds.
I've checked to see if my WiFi router was the problem, but it seems ok. I can use it to stream 720p videos, as well as play World of Tanks and Planetside 2 without any problems, at peak times too.
Can't be anything on my end if everyone else is having the same problem too. EVE was working fine for me before the patch. Tried the repair tool, and cleared the cache. Neither worked. |

I got the same problem on this account this morning
After undocking during a playing session, I had no shield/armor/structure display (or the icons on either side). Right clicking brought up no menus, I tried logging off. That is when I got the black screen. Shutdown EvE and re-logged still nothing, deleted the cache this gave me sound 'warp drive engaged' but still a black screen.
Next I tried the repair tool, got an error on start-up (I didn't read the log  ), so then I couldn't log on at all.
Uninstalled EvE and downloaded/re-installed the client, no change.
Created a new character on this account and all appears as it should do but no change on this character.
I guess it must be a corrupted file/data attached to this character, raised a petition and fingers crossed |

Just now getting this issue. Noticed drone bay wasn't working, logged off to fix the issue. Log back in - black screen.

Just ran into same problem.
Made a few tests and - character in space logging into "full black screen" from two different PCs, character in station (same account) - logging in just fine, just laggy. |

Repair File Exe
Reinstalled the whole Game
GraphicDrivers complete deinstalled
Newest GDrivers intstalled
DirectX reinstalled
Different Resolutions even on the Desktop
Login from another PC
----nothing worked----
But making a complete new Character and playing works totally FINE !
So it CANT BE a Problem from my side...and now i am stuck and can-Št mine to get my daily ISK Income :D
Really annoying after 16Days of ADDICTION !!!
I hope my Support Ticket helps me out because there are 9Hours to go until the Server restarts.... |

Got the same issue. Main left the station, I went to dock back in, but found that right clicking any object no longer worked. Then I noticed my ships health, mod, scanner, etc display was missing. I messed around with it and decided to relog, only to come to this black screen. Only the escape button displays anything, and no amount of time seems to fix it. My alt, still on the station worked fine. I undocked and then docked back without a hitch. Luckily I am not missing out on too much, or too vulnerable. However, it is annoying to see so many people with same problem, but the only 'official' fix I found was from a 2009 thread with an old patch update.
Maybe it will get fixed during the server maintenance. Ill post something if it does. Otherwise, Im really hopin it goes away by tomorrow, or a fix can be found. Still searching the webs and forums. |

Same problem, cache cleaned automatic and handmade method, i tryed to repair the game but nothing, all skills missed, ship immobilised and black screen after relaunch. |

DC'd in space this morning, now having the same problem. I tried making an alt, and he can fly around in space just fine, but the main still doesn't work. It's too dangerous where I am to hang around and see if it clears up. I filed a petition, hopefully there is a solution. |

Bump from me.
I have the exact same issue. Selected a gate on overview, but it didn't show on selected items. Rightclick in space didn't give me a warpto or jump. So I rebooted my client and now this character gets a black screen after logging in. The other character on the account still works fine. Currently watching that black screen as some people reported it loaded after a while. |
