I just got another account and was musing at the idea of controlling 2 ships at once in PvP / NPC hunting situations. My question is what 2 ships would complement each other for PvP? I'd imagine you'd want a combo of firepower and EW (raven + blackbird?) or maybe a stealth bomber/interceptor....I dunno, that's why I'm askin you
Anyone else out there PvP with 2 accounts at the same time? Just curious...

2 accounts + PvP = 2 dead ships.
Unless you want to sniper at a gate, PvP is much too intense to control 2 accounts simultaneously. If you want to keep one in reserve at a moon to warp in when you die, you could do that. But you'll get spanked if you try both at once, especially if you're using one comp.

Same here, no PvP, but works fine with missions, if your computer can handle it.

Edited by: Rodge on 03/05/2005 12:21:37 For PvP, bring a battleship with one character and have the other character in an industrial, to collect all the loot you're bound to get
Being serious, I know some guys who can use two characters at once in pvp. I mainly fly frigates which require a bit more concentration than BS warfare, so I only run one at a time. PvE, one character in a BS and you will need the other in an indy to collect the loot.

how do you run two accounts on the same pc, at the same time. i tried starting the eve client twice, but the first one quit, when the second one opened.

You copy the whole EVE folder so you have 2 sets of the game on the h/d.

I'd say a vigil plus thorax can be quite the deadly combination. Cheap one too.
The regular theme of a two-ship agressor party is having one damage dealer and one ships that supports with EW and tackling. Having two damage dealers is another possibility but requires short range to tackle.

Missions are quite easy with 2 accounts. My main has a raven that sits there and just pummels everything on the lvl 4 mission. While my alt in a armageddon, with nothing but cap power relays in the lows, cap recharger 2's in the mids, and large shield transfers in the highs. I can sit there tank multiple battleships no problem at all.

sounds like you tried to log into the same account twice. If you have a second account, it should run both reasonably well. Or perhaps you ran out of resources and it had to stop the first one?
Most people seem to make a copy of the Eve directory, I do. For me it runs the two more smoothly, but others have no problem running two from the same file.

good thoughts...never considered having an inty to scoop loot. Can anyone suggest a Caldari ship tandem that would be good?

Buzzard and Raven (for pvp) are a nice combo. Buzzard to be short range warpin and do some scrambling untill the raven gets a change to jump in, warp to buzzard and engage at point blank range with torps.
Very gankatastic.

For pvp: Covert op + megathron. Use covert op to get close to target unnoticed. Then warp with the megatron to the covert op and destroy the target with blasters.

Two accounts for pvp is possible, but expect to die. Alot.
I know only of an elite few that can do this.
if you think you can hack it, by all means go for it, but practice a lot on npcs first. Although nothing will prepare you for the intensity of dual pvp... (\_/) (O.o) (>o<) Bunny's too tight to mention... |
