Well...As the thread was locked dut to bunny excess, I post again my question...
Does mines are usefull? Can we use them to spam a large area (such as a belt...or a POS  ) and do they work better now? Some time ago they were being looked at, but no news since there, or I missed it ^^! ...
I guess they are still borked as I haven't met any mine field since...since the 1st week they were issued. If somebody use them and wishes to share his/her experience, it would be really appreciated !
nb : please, no bunny spam !

The mines are not working. You could spam an area with them, they did cause lag though.
Biggest one I've seen was in Ostingele, Tank CEO, TWD, Tenacha Kahn plus friends were camping. We attacked with Cataclysm Enterprises, we only had 4 more ships, think Tenacha was going to make a fight of it but TLBC had already warped.
I shot at a mine and the effect was awesome as the explosions rippled towards us, had to turn away from the screen it was really bright. The smaller ships began to bail as it got closer and the BS began to wonder. They don't really do enough damage to be useful. It was the 5th of November as well.

Ive never tried thembut everyone says there pretty useless right now :( which is a realshame.

I really hope they are going to schedule mines somewhere in the patch.
It would maybe wise to launch them in packs instead of one by one...This might reduce lag.
I guess it would be really impressive to enter a system where each gate is full of mines.
I would like to see them working as POS do, i.e. with permissions, granted accesses...
They could also be fun to trap peoples (deploy in system, belts, stations...)
/me dreaming of giant belts, with planet-size roids spammed of mines, with a quasar in the background spamming deadly rays

Mines used to work. You could deploy them using a standard missile launcher. Each firing deployed about 10-15 mines, but successive firing added to the density of the field. They were visible up close, as well as targetable and destroyable.
The damage was not great, but they had a splash effect and as such a very dense field would have a chain-reaction.

IIRC correctly it has been around for some days (maybe last week firstly).
The first time I've seen the bunny it was Nero Scuro (confirm please?).

I signed up to the WoTC forums, made a few posts and never bothered going back. I used to be really heavilly into D&D but I haven't played in months. I met my girlfriend playing D&D, actually, but she recently left me so I don't know if that was a good thing any more..
Anyway, the bunny thing.. first person I saw with it was Joshua Foirtan. I say we torch his house.

you know whats sad about this you would have locked any one of us for highjacking the thread (bunny's give ma a break)
as for the mines though
they would be usefull for POS defense (and 0.0 gate defense if access and travel trough mine fields could be granted
launching them in the 100's would be needed though unless they beef up their Damage
