I thought the other thread was a great idea but between people getting confused over the subject and arguements it sort of got derailed so lets try it again.
Quite simply post the 5 pilots you respect/like most in EVE with some reasons if you wish and leave any other discussion to PM's and other threads.

In no particular order...
Trooper B99 - Even before he joined my corp I respected the hell out of this guy. Always calm and rational, I've yet to see Trooper make a post or a statement that upset me. The guy always knows just how to say things so that everyone understands his point.
Leafo - Inspirational vids, excellent leadership abilities, awesome combat pilot, total team player. Leafo is the kind of guy that keeps you interested in the game even when you start to burn out. A great friend.
Foyle - Because of all the **** she takes and endures, yet she still finds the will to keep on playing. Love her or hate her, she's been around for a long time and stayed on through things that would have forced many other players to quit and go play WoW or something...
Cyvok - Runs CLS. Now runs a new alliance. I'd quit the game before I had to deal with the amount of pressure this guy must be under every time he logs in.
Viceroy - Bluntly honest and funny at the same time. MASSIVE respect to this player.
Damn... Hast is right... I could post about 15 more.

Theres no way I could name just 5, there are so many, but heres a few, rytir, buddrow (hes *** but we live with it), fowlplaychiken, kabalevsky, seeya, maxsuicide (even if he does wanna kill those poor carebears :(), parmizan (love the singing), cmd woodHOUSE (even though he pesters me all the time), bratzo (he loves the 3598340965680340683 convo's really, he just likes the attention ^^), little bigfood!, gyro duaquin (or however u spell that), yve steel!!, venture people.
Ok my list is a *little* bit to long, and with really bad punctuation, good luck reading it! :)

DB Preacher - long time partner in crime and if we were picking teams for Eve like you'd pick footy teams back in your school days he'd always be one of my first picks. The best guy I know to discuss fleet tactics with, exceedingly rare is the day we're both in a fleet together and after a hurried consultation on tactics we take the wrong approach. Also refreshingly blunt and honest in his outlook on life. One stubborn mofo as well when he's made his mind up 
Cell Satimo - BNC's greatest unsung hero. You won't see him in our fleets, you won't see him posting on the forums much but if ever I have a project, especially a slightly sneaky or devious one, he's always my first choice. Cell's also the guy, along with phase11 (another unsung hero), that brings common sense, sanity and logic to BNC's management team. When we're faced with an issue that requires logical thought, strategic planning and a touch of daring Cell is the guy that puts it all together in a nice neatly packaged proposal.
TWD - how the hell do you kill like that? Respected for his fearsome proficiency at taking any ship and omgwtfbbqing anything that crosses his path.
Molle - for being himself, doesn't require any explanation really.
DigitalCommunist - for the clearest, most concise and well thought out suggestions on what Eve could be.
I could name about 50 more that could all be on that top five list depending on what mood I'm in. Other current names that spring to mind include..
DoctorGonzo, Galavet, Coranor, Alex Capone, Devvon Maelstrom, Grimster, Viceroy, Twaddle, Estarriol, Bizzare, Seleene, Leafo, Boldyn, phase11, Uther (now departed), Lorth (don't know him but I currently have a habit of agreeing with him on the forums), Stan, Blade K'os, Endersgame, DimensionZ, Dianabolic etc etc.....

I usually never post in these threads but I'll give it a shot now.
In no particular order:
- Sheppard. Great fighter with an attitude Eve community could not survive without.
- JosephX. All around great guy. (Even though he's got a thing for birds)
- Jokull. I have no clue how many times I've killed you mate. But I've never seen anyone with such a spirit. Got to give you credit!
- Liger. Anyone who fought this guy should know why.
- Greenhalf. I used to fly with him in Alcohol Fuelled, and this is one of the best pilots around. Not in game any longer 
I could easily post a never ending list of guys I respect, but my credit goes to all those not so well known guys who's not popular cause they dont post much on forums or dont fly in the "big corporations". Why? thats where you'll find lots of superior figthers.

Can't point out single person, all of them just great pilots and very very experienced. Especially Wizard, Ast, Acier, heid, 0mega, Rex and others that i fight with everyday.

i havnt been in 0.0 that long so my list is proberly gonna be seen as being lame by most but oh well here it is.....
SlamD - for being one of the few guys i have met from RA that can hold a decent conversation in local without resorting to smack. (this is a personnal opinion and not meant as a flame)
Jake Sisko - for being the leader of virii.....pure and simple these guys are tough mothers to kill without them owning your ass first.
ApocUK - FSA may not be anywhere near the top alliance in eve.....but he works his ass of for us anyway. we lub u apoc.
Kickass - for being the best vigil tackler ive ever had the mis-fortune to be caught by.
Any member of Burn Eden - the do what they do cause the want to do it.....and they do it bloody well. respect guys.

USS Omaha. Tbh, I dont think there are many more worthy of respect in the game. He curbed Xirtams excesses, and whenever he speaks, it is either with the voice of reason, or just plain laugh out loud humour.

He is a humble loyal player with alot of humor. Doesn't play himself up to be anthing he isn't, and is always careful not to attract attention to himself. His commanding skills are direct, but with alot of respect for others. Just my experience.

DBP-Funny little git whos streak at losing Scorps made me look good.One of the first visible people in Eve who gave me the time of day.
Blacklight- old friend from Norad,fought in most of my first battles next to him,is always fair and calm on the forums.And is usually right when he tells me or someone else when to stfu.
Kileak- Explained this game to me and how every ship and mod has its uses. Taught me alot and earned alot of my respect.
Sassinak- Was the first m0o member to not treat me as some condesending *****,then turned around and made Propehcy look like a noob by consecutively beating him in 5 1v1 matchs.
Phonix- Only man as crazy as me I miss flying with him.

Seleene - Quite possibly one of the most fun people to taunt.
Farjung - Again, rather fun to taunt, but I respect him more for his ability when he's flying something OTHER than Taranis.
Eyeshadow - I will pass you on the killboard.
Rizmordan Hilgoetled (who the hell can spell his name!?) - Riz made my sig, baby! Oh, and he's a very decent chap.
Foyle - A very reliable customer. (please note: this is respectful with regards to punctual payments and clear and open dialogue)
Cartiff and Waagaa get a special mention for their singing abilities. Now, can you go sing on the enemy TS servers ;)
Also, Arjen Lucassen must be mentioned, but he's not EVE-ralated. I'll let people with too much time on their hands figure out who he is. (And those who already know are better people for it^^)

Kreep13 - Ahh yes! my best "pet-project" sofar in the world of eve. I tought him in the beginning of his career as a space traveler. And he has shown plenty of times what the word "Crazy" stands for. And i don't care if you can't start a sentence with an "and", kreep, it works for me
Godwin Cadela - Hehe we had some fun trips together, allthough the mining for new ships after one of them was'nt that funny. But hey it was fun. Just keep on wrekin' them, GW 
Drilla - The One and only! best tutor and fleetcommander i have had the pleasure to work under. Tought me some of of the ins and outs of pvp'ing. Drilla is one of the few single individuals in eve that actually effects borders and politics.

3. Raidek - the one that got me into eve. Flew with him in Sinister corp, back in the glory days of the (true) Curse Alliance.

1.Nez Perces ( He works his arse off for fix)
2.Thor(bos)..skull (Helped tons despite politics)
3.Molle (great tactition in HW and in EVE)
4.Mok'tel ( another guy that helped me no matter what)
5.Tommy boy or Boldyn ( just fun to fly with n kill shyt)
There is so many i have left out.Alot of peopel in fix are super kool and calm under fire.There is many people in my corp that work hard daily.However that is my list that stands out atm and as you see i hold no bias out of game.

In almost 1 year of playng eve i see manny honorable players all araund univers...from HPA to TPAR and from YZ to HLW ,i play with them side by side ,i fight against them..some times my team win ..some times not ..some times i kill them some times not...but in my way i respect all of them .

Che Guevarra --> My first homie we were roaming providence ovning it all the way to CA space, first 2 BS there i think 2 years ago.
Sally --> Read up and fountain wars with mo0 and the ebil empire. (have never known a person with so much heart Corp 1 FTW)
Foyle --> If i were to pick a person to get dinner and flowers that would be her (Have been standing side by side a long long time now)
Chowdown --> Simple war spirit and a great co commander in CA

I still wont get over him/fluff/sky getting roaring drunk, grabbing bs, and suicide charging an entire f-e fleet that was taking ls-jep. they killed 1 bs, lost 2 out of 3. but just the story of its happening and the description of their drunkenness on TS brought tears to my eyes. and then the next day, Kab logs on his alt and for the life of him cant figure out why its back home, or how he lost it. another corp member told him he undocked in a hauler on his alt while f-e were taking the station and was podkilled, but he cant remember it in the least. gotta love CELTS:)

My Top 5, in no particluar order.
1. Triff - watching him die makes me laugh so much, and as hes my flat mate it makes it all the more fun ! That gank by the MC when triff was in his Tempest sniping & Darko's crew in P3 getting his raven into hull were the best !
2. Darko1107 - Lotta respect from this Guy. Great sport, fantasic pvp'r & good fun on eve-mails & local.
3. Jeagerx - he's just crazy & an amazing frig pilot.
4. Ballistic void - he scares me on TS, but superb frig pilot/frig commander.
5. Fowlplaychiken - you make me laugh mate..but all that 'bawk' drives me nutz !
...i could go on and mention all the guys in CELTS & MCON..but there are so many & id accidently miss someone out !

- Sheppard. Great fighter with an attitude Eve community could not survive without.
- JosephX. All around great guy. (Even though he's got a thing for birds)

DimensionZ - Just the shear effort he puts into RKK makes him stand out from the regular crowd.
Dianabolic - Talanted on so many aspects of Eve, he plays the game on a diffrent level of understanding than most other people.
DB Preacher - Want to rally a fleet of 50 people in under 3 minutes, call this man. Awesome fleet leader and one of the orginal RKK CEO's.
Molle - The only person who could rally a fleet quicker than DBP, This man has a tactical awareness unlike any other person I have flown with.
Blacklight - The only person to who has convinced me to get drunk and play a computer game. Vodka and Eve = bad combo for Galavet! I see Blacklight and BNC as a mirror to RKK, a great partner in crime.
I could list about 15 other people, but I will hold at the 5 set by the topic starter.

Wizzard66 - absolute nutter tbh. But always the first to put himself on the line for anyone. A few times now he has lost ships to save the rest of the fleet when things got sticky.
Pphearr/G1mp - Top CEO in the game. Turned a small corp into a alliance powerhouse (well I'd like to think so :p). He's just a top guy who would help anyone out. Superb pilot too as well as hauling/mining/production junkeh. This guy has it all.
Boldyn - Methodical. simply put. Single purpose mind when it comes to combat, gotta respect the guy as his kill - loss record speaks for itself.
Fatballs - nah only joking this guy is the worst person I've come across in Eve but hey ^^
being serious tho all the guys from RKK, BNC and Evol (esp Rkk) are great as far as my experience goes. Cant pick out an individual as this thread needs, but I've never got smack from them no matter what happens, something thats rare to come across on my opinion. Professional to say the least :)

Chowdown, awesome leader, and takes good care of his men/women (if there is any women), always asking "where do you want me?", not "this is boring."

Wizard Hes a good laugh, and great guy. We can get ganked anytime when we r 2gether, we both seem to have devolped a nasty habbit of attacking things to big. DB Preacher, recruited me into RKK as a 3 mill SP nub (he didn't know this at the time), prolly the best move either of us ever made
Dexter Rast, Omri and 6666 for instilling that whole frig 4tw thing in my style of play.
Galavet, for being a great guy both ingame and in RL, top notch fella who pulls all the stops out, nothing is too much trouble for this chap. Utmost respect.
Most of the RKK directorship with the exception of Dian (who just wants me to be his biatch)..
Special mention to Boldyn of FIX for chivalrous and challenging gameplay, Molle for awesome fleet leadership, and just about every other bugger I've flown against and with. <3

Tubes and Sister Tuesday (of FFEW) - altho i dun speak much to him anymore he and ST were my mentors of eve and they did anything for me. Inc a full set of implants 2weeks after starting eve.
Rift Scorn makes me laugh on vent i must say he's a kewl guy.
actually most of kr0m are pretty kewl, Elisium, trev, kittyfire (****), skillgannon, Tamora (ty for the coolio's babes link, omg fit!) to name just a few of kr0m.
The guys back in GW duffmaxx, Andromeda, Alurious, Andy Flack, Velios, Gedrex (yes u, u bum) O cant forget Omegatron and CB well CB when he wernt whining.
To Be fair there are many ppl i respect in this game but againt equally that many i dont. Must say most of the ppl i respect remain back in Great Wildlands the old curse days..
You guys better not have screwed up GW to much im coming back one day!!

In order:
1. Borg Fusion - taught be everything I know pretty much.
2. swisher - a total drunk, but still plays EVE when totally smashed (gets ganked all the time though)
3. Chowdown - Best damn fleet commander I know, cool guy too (when he aint off making food)
4. Daakkon - He is such an *******, but he is really cool.
5. MamerJamer - Even when we were total enemies, we were always friends and never shot at each other.

I don't really post much in threads like this, but I'll give it a go. In no particular order:
ioctl - with him at your side, you generally always come out on top in any fight
the rest of CoC - obviously, just have to include them
Raven DeBlade - good friend and a great guy. My old CEO in bladerunners. Politics extraordinare (sp?)
H Zub - In my experience, he's the best frigate pilot in eve (and I've seen a few) and a nice bloke.
hmm, that was only 4'ish. It'll have to do for now.
