I seriously doubt that it was planned but with the time passing the pieces just fell into the place. DDC and CLS weren't close before the war against [5]. The war forged the bond and CYVOK saw a chance to create their own alliance run the way CLS and DDC wants it.
I always laugh at the comments about the carebears and producers (=empire players) being the bane of the alliances. Do you guys seriously believe that? It's the 0.0 guys who do the politics and need the territory. No agent runner gives a **** about the 0.0 and why should they?
XF's 0.0 space corps (or at least those who use it most) started the war, then formed a new alliance (you just need to look at the members) and settled the war. (MASS and the others won't be a problem for CLS/DDC).
I just think it's kind of low from some XF to blame the carebears and producers because their own corp are too weak to support their wars (XF did have some nice pgrms for support). Those corps left in XF are mainly empire corps and so they probably hardly care if sb. attacks their regions. (If they want to mine they can just set up a POS in some remote system).
In conclusion Ascendant Frontier are XF 0.0 corps with all old XF money and without the empire corps who didn't have much interest in XF 0.0 policy anyway. CLS managed to get the best for their corp. An alliance run by CLS/DDC without democracy/meetings, peace with [5], 2 regions and XF's money.

CLS and DDC have flown together for a while before [5]
but Cordy and Cyvok weren't that close. That is what I meant.

At the end of the day CLS and their new alliance have all the things they wanted. Peace with the [5], an enemy to keep PvPers busy, the regions, being in power and (probably) XF's money.
I just think it's interesting that the [5] agreed so easily to a NAP who has governing/leading XF lately. But actually it's no big surprise considering their proposal at the start of the war.
Well whatever it's probably the best for CLS and XF.

Amazing what hanging out with ppl like Xirtam with do for ya. He passed on his ability to make baseless accusations about non-thefts.
Or, do you have some proof?
Don't be so harsh mate. I said probably so I obviously have no prove. And probably just means probably :). But considering who was the last one responsible it a valid "probably".
But post with you main next time k? So the others know who is talking aswell.

bah Krapz keep cool :). No need to go crazy. I thought it was clear that all posts in this topic a speculation. And XF's money is hardly what my post was about so let it rest k? If you say you don't have it fine. I don't really care anyway. :)
And nobody is flaming CYVOK. Didn't I already say CLS probably did what is best for them? It's just I think it's funny how you blame the carebears/empire folks (Though from your viewpoint it is understandeble) and how the [5] reacted.

Originally by: Krapz [...] IMO, ppl should still mine in .0, and be encouraged to play the game, the way that they want to, and have fun. However, there is a time and place to put down all the other activities, and pick up the guns. Failure to do so will prety much terminate your worth in a .0 environment. The way to supplement the PvP ability is by massive industrial support. To that end, STK has become an absolute role model of what any .0 industrial corp should be. Keep your guys on the playing field, give them what they need to fight, and do it all with curtousy and a teamwork attitude. That is how the gmae is laid out the way I see it...
Sure you are right if there are any so called "mining corps" who didn't help. But from my experience are not those corps who a large number of their members in 0.0 and do nothing but mining and whining. Of course there is the odd corp with some 1-5 members in 0.0 who have no clue whatsoever but who do these corps actually concern?
I'd love to know which corps do you think were "leachers/mining corps/whatever" in XF. Actually it's not only a question to you. One hears so often of those "ebil producers" who do nothing but leach at X-alliances assets.
Of course there are inaktive corps in huge alliance but they shouldn't really concern anybody since they don't participate in any way.
