increase damge done to your ship if you are the victum?
I have been the givver and the reciver of the target paintign thing. i have personal been the victum of watching a group of 4 ships come in and one ship getting 5 wreckign hits in a row as i get target painted.
i have helped and seen the differance in if enough target paiters get put on a station (conquorable) the people attackign the staiton get consistatnt wreckings (60% of thier hits)
Were target painters MEANT to be in thsi effect.. and if not.. then there needs to be a fix of SOME sort on this really fast as this is the new uber gank thing...
I dont care whom you are.. 5 wreckign hits of 1800+ in a row in under 4 seconds tends to ruin your ship...

They're overpowered, and it'll become more apparent as more people use them, due for a nerf tbh.

I dont think they are over powered, but the req. skills are far to low. T2 target painters only req lvl 1 target painting. I also think that they shouldn't work (as in todays target painter) on the firing ship. Target painter should be 2 things. 1 a cloaked ship (with todays covert-ops that wouldnt work) or support ships.

i think if they jsut fix it where that sig radius is nto connected to damge done would work awesome (also fixing the mwd+ painter bug

I'm sorry, but that is one of the more ignorant things I've read this week. the way it is makes sense.
Think about it like this: If it is dark outside, will it be easier for someone to shoot you if yu are wearing all black or if you are wearing an orange reflective vest? Sig radius works the same way. If you move fast, the penalty is having that orange reflective vest on. The way to make up for a huge saig is to increase your transversal to screw the tracking. Counter target painters with damps. Quite balanced.

Hmmm, the only sensible counter to a target painter is a stealth module that reduces your sig radius.
For tactical purposes you could even have stealth emitters that a logistics type ship could use to stealth a small group of ships.
Using dampeners is the counter to people using sensor boosters and doesn't change the wrecking blow problem.
Unless they add in some sensible counter then the painters shouldn't be stackable, just different strengths.

Jamming is not considered 'countering'. Also you don't get a notification who's doing it and you only find out when you're being painted when it's already too late.
Simply fix the exponential effect of painter+MWD.
Even with 10 painters IMHO battleships should still not be able to shoot frigates MWD or not. Want to shoot a frigate? Get escort or use anti-frig equipment.
Being able to simply paint him and vaporize any frigate in a single salvo of your large guns is simply wrong.
