Man this thread is funny. Does everyone really think that a corp the size of Shinra (or any corp) can be accountable for all of their members? While it may have been a mistake for Shinra to state that "Their members never log", if they did in fact state that, it's sure as hell not the entire corp's fault for the actions of one pilot.
Corporations in EVE are ficticious, it's a collection of individuals that pay the same monthly fee, nothing more. Some are closer friends than others, and some are more mature that others, but in every single corp there will be someone that lets the rest of the corp down. That doesn't mean it's the corporations fault. Nobody can expect anyone in this game to be accountable for what some other subscriber does. Even if they fight on the same side under the same flag.
Who cares if some other player logs? It's his right to do so. He pays the monthly fee, and he can do whatever he wants within the game mechanic limitations. If he does something outside of those limitations then it's up to the GMs to punish the individual, not the corporation he/she was a member of. All a corporation can really do is "ask" players to follow a certain set of rules, they can't force them to.
