Well I started lev 3 missions, and got extraveganza 2 times...took for ever but I finished them with realative ease minus the time it took. Then I get the intercept the militia from caldari mission, and realized.
Caldari has the full range of options on damage from thier missles,
while gallente using a blaster/rail set up (for our bonus) is only thermal/kenetic. (caldari have weakness to explosive)
further more a brutix for example has no missle bays for defenders.
I cant beleive after theoretically being at war for so long that gallente has ships with no defences to missles.
and to top it off does damage contrary to the weakest armor type of caldari...they are more resistant to kinetic/thermal than explosive...which we have no option to use on hybrid ammo....which we see bonuses on most ships for.
seems very unlikely to me and is very evident thatwe get the short stick when I cant even kill one caldari 40k cruiser (without severe trouble), but can kill up to 160k serpentis (with zero trouble).
thats my rant and im sticking to it :)

you make a good arguement, but with the new missle changes Caldari will shall we say..suck..?, and the ammount of damage megathrons etc are doing these days i think any ship would go down b4 the first missle hits it

250mms + thorium/uranium + tracking comp => orbit at 41km => no heavy missle can touch you

That's a direct result of the fact that ganking is too effective though, that affects more then just Caldari.
In PvP their chances will acctually go up with higher missiles speeds and better range. They will just have a harder time killing small things, which doesn't mean they suck, just that they have the same problems as everyone else too.

Yeah oh what horrible deeds have CCP done to us caldari!
They gave all missiles a more than 200% speed boost, they made us more specialized about picking launchers, they balanced pg & cpu reqs on launchers and they gave us skills that allow us to exceed the effectiveness of the usual torps lvl 4/5 that every raven pilot has.
Dude they made us better and more like the other races... This missile patch is gonna own.

i'm sure they'll get it at least *reasonable* before they port it to tranq. (course, i wont care. will stick with my cerberus regardless :))
