so they would have to boost hybrids, lasers and projos again, then boost x10 armor and x100 structure hit points, then boost the ceptors'es speed, then the sensor strength and tracking abilities for all ships... mmmh we would have to cry rivers and sees untill we get some "almost-balanceness" in the uberness

And that's all there is to it.
It can't be nice having your overpowered guns brought into line with everyone else, but surely you must know, that sooner or later, it's was going to happen.
Roll on the missile changes. (and about 5000 threads, just like this one)

Since when did balancing become crap? The fact of the matter is that the majority of you whiners are upset because you just had your "easy" button taken away. Personally, I don't train to fly the "ship of the month." Only fools do that and then they make whiney post on the forums.
You can either adapt or die.
Now go back in your corner and whine some more. ===================================================

Mwhaha. I started training for a mega 4 months ago when everyone thought it sucked ass. I told people that when I'm done, they have boosted the mega. Im perfectly happy now with my 425 IIs. Life is peachy. ^^

Well my two cents. The game as it stands right now is more balanced then it ever has been. No large weapon is uber, as was the case with lasers and projectiles before. Missles being the exception, but we all know where those are going.
CCP has been doing a much better job of changing things then they have been in the past. The laser 'nerf' wasn't over done, though you'll here countless whines that it was. The projectile boost wasn't over done. One could argue that things are a little unbalanced, though nothing like situations we have had in the past.
I feel very safe in specilizing right now. Maybe 6 mounths from now my hybrids will be better, or not as good as they are now. But based on the last 6 mounths or so of changes, I think CCP will keep things much more inline then they have in the past.
Oh and to anyone who ever says that hybrids track better then lasers, please go back and relearn basic trig.

Still rather use pulse lasers than autocannons because of pulses range =(

Edited by: KIAInkZ on 08/05/2005 20:10:47 I think all the weapons are pretty well balanced, and if you've specialised in one then you're not loosing out at all. The only skill that is a pain in the ass to train is large lvl 5. Training the diff types of guns, ie beams/pulses takes no significant time at all, and both types have their uses so no wastes there.
What exactly are you so mad about? The recent laser changes are great imo, and I'm laser specialised in 2 types of guns. I use em a lot too. ---
