What is the point if every race has an Jam/Damp/Disruptor/ ship etc? Not every race has to be a fluffy little mirror of each other, it's seriously not needed. Things like Gallente having the only drone BS and Caldari having the only ECM BS are incredibly cool distinctions that only add to EVE in both game play value and flavour. |

I'd like to see a new Ishukone or Hyasyoda contact for the 'liberal' Caldari bloc. Not sure if it's doable, but there are a lot of folks who aren't fans of Heth, and Ishukone has been a fairly important part of two major EVE novels. |

Hey guys.
Obviously, it would be sweet if we could get contacts for every possible faction and sub-faction and even corporation in the game. However, there are limits to what we can reasonably maintain at this time. Assuming all goes well with these guys, we'll probably become more varied with the contacts. But there are a LOT of subfactions to create contacts for (the Amarr Houses, various Gallente blocs, the Tribes, etc), so we started with a focused group concentrated in the Navies, Pirate Factions, and some other groups we might have plans for.
As for how to contact them, EVE Mail is the best bet as they mostly won't be hanging around online for extended stretches except in rare cases, while we will be checking their mail regularly.

As for the Jove. The Jove have severed any and all contact a long time ago. They no longer wanted any of the other Empires meddling in their affairs. And I don't think they're much inclined to come out of hiding, assuming any of them are still alive.

To be fair to the CCP team, the State has 3 POCs, two of which are not Protectorate. It would be relatively straightforward for the community to add some character to these POCs...

I find it a little funny that for the militia contacts, their stated ranks and their actual ranks in game don't match.

Yeah, the ranks will be updated in the coming weeks, it's something that still needs to be done

If a corporation would like to set up diplomatic contact with a representative, then yes, it's a good idea for the CEO to make contact and introduce themselves.
Of course, there's' nothing to stop people doing this on an individual basis either.

Right now, the Thukker are on the edge of re-uniting with the tribes. Their current stance is they're on the fence, and a lot of the Nefantar and Starkmanir whom were uplifted by the Elder Fleet are currently being supported in their stations, ready to return to the Republic.
Whether the Thukker loyalists like it or not, the Republic and the Thukker Tribe have grown very close, and as such for now we're listing people under one list.
Again, I'll stress that declaring loyalty in this thread DOES NOT affect your RP. It's an out of character thread for the Live Events team to get a rough idea of where people stand.

Given their political clout, and the fact that they've operated as a diplomatic channel between the Federation and Empire in the past, and have a very strong presence all over the cluster, this is where I decided to put them for now.

The Thukker are inside the game mechanics a separate faction as well. Concord protection might play a role here, but I think it alone isn't sufficient to explain that they are kept as seperate factions within the contacts while the Thukker are not: Rather they presumably have to use that legitimacy and independence in a way that makes them not as much in alignment with the Empire as the Thukker are with the Republic.
In the extreme things like Ardishapur moving to seperate his domains from the Empire, the Ammatar still having their own secret agendas and King Khanid alike, that deviate enough from the interests of the Empire to justify the workhours invested in those additional contacts.
It seems greater Amarria will be quite interesting -politically- in the future. |

I resubscribed after six months to Eve, again looking for a spesific entry point for myself into roleplay in this vast and deep universe.
Besides the necessary patience until new station environments arrive and with them a major aspect for roleplay to me, you did... this... and... well... contacts added.

For personal reasons, I would like to see a Scope contact. Not for submitting news, but I've always wondered about Lars Kiormen's fate, as well as the other Scope reporters, that were detained during the Seylinn disaster. I recall a news article (although I can't find it now) where the DED claimed that Kiormen was released, but this was never confirmed.
So if a Scope contact will not be made, I would appreciate if someone would tell me what the Scope would reply when I inquire about what happened with the reporters.

I'd assume that if there are events brewing, you might be able to get more deeply tangled if you're already in conversation with one of the involved parties...?
That said, how often are these checked? Evemailed one or two of them last week. No rush, of course -- just want to get a rough idea of time-scale so that I can curb my enthusiasm. ;) |

Coming from the Amarr end of things, we are currently wondering who our best contact is regarding the current Ardishapur educational reforms. The MIO is the only civilian contact, but they frankly don't seem to be the best to speak to about classes. |

I reached out to Mr. Odo Hakaalen to provide him my feedback on the Battle of Caldari Prime; he was very impressed with my report and I actually received an affirmative response.
Good to see that these lines are open!
Recommendations:
-bring back the Jukebox!
-enable ships wobbling in hangar view (pre-Captains Quarters)
-add more missions (NPC fleet vs. NPC fleets that actually shoot)
-less focus on graphics, more on mechanics |

At the moment it's not that some are unstable and some are not, the Live Events team is having to put a number of things on hold at the moment is my understanding. From what I can gather, any action at all on the faction contacts is currently on hold.
That said, I fully support what they are attempting to do with this game. I hope they can get their issues cleared up and return to previous functions because the interactivity with the story in EVE is one of the main things I love about the game. |

I do however like this idea and more interactivity is always good...I am happy to oblige here in the 'interactivity' department...
(EDIT: After some deliberation of only 3 minutes I see now that research is awlays a good thing before one inserts bigfoot into littlemouth...a retraction was in order...nevertheless TSF??? You are on my hitlst of things to do...)
