I am interested in doing some pirate agent missions. Has anyone done them and what are they like?

Nope they don't drop navy loot, instead of getting a bounties you need to collect all cans for their tags that can be sold for isk, pretty cool ay?

Edited by: Mephistos on 11/05/2005 07:30:44 I've heard of the fleet commander at the end of blockade dropping Navy loot, but never seen it. And other than that there aren't any other missions that would drop faction loot (no extravaganza's or the other missions that give Dreads and what not).
edit: And the only tags you can sell are the concord ones, and you don't kill concord in level 4 missions. Unless I'm missing a place to sell the other tags? :p

You can sell the other tags as well, you just have to find the appropriate region to sell them. All Empire faction tags are sellable somewhere to NPC's. Currently the demand is based off of race, i.e. Angel Cartel ask for Minmatar Republic tags, Blood Raiders ask for Amarr Empire tags etc.
Also, a few level 3 important missions were added in last patch for the pirate factions which have implant dropping (and occasionally faction loot) npcs. The next patch will have level 4 sequential missions with fleet commanders and such.

Some of them do have a chance of dropping navy loot (the 'commander' type Empire npcs).

MOWHAHAH got u now. blood raiders are not the only ones who ask for amarr tags. sansha do to but they send you vs ammatar. SO why do they need amarr tags?

Amarr and Ammatar are allies, Sansha can send you to attack either faction. Sansha is an exception though because technically Sansha (their leader) is Caldari, but his greatest enemy currently is the Amarr Empire (and it's allies, including the Ammatar). The Sansha Nation is a rogue faction that attacks anyone not directly allied with them of course, but it's prime enemy is the Empire and the Ammatar.

does this mean the offers are random and should change between amarr and ammatar and maybe a mix of both tags for their offers?

o. and 0.0 missions are kinda frustrating atm. they have suffered from issues with the ability to claim their offers due to lack of the required items. and affect your empire standing. the first issue shoul dbe fixed next patch but at same time as raven gets nerfed so kinda sucks.
That said they are diffrent and alot more fun than empire. just can beat the buzze of doing a mission at a gate when a nice hostile jumps in.

Edited by: Joshua Foiritain on 11/05/2005 15:25:56 Pirates missions are like playing on the highway, it can be fun while you last but any sane person would play by the side of the road because you dont get killed there and its actually more rewarding.
If you think empire space is boring, Carebears cause lag and make to much noise and enjoy being at risk all the time then Pirate Missions is what youre looking for.
Joining a large alliance would be a good way to decrease the risk btw. (But meh, wheres the fun in that? )
+Rare Officer loot is pretty cool. I got a Minmatar Republic Fleet 1mn MWD and a Minmatar Republic Fleet 280mm Artil in the past few months. ---------------------------
