we used to be able to communicate with them but now they have more or less cut off all communication with the other races. something is going on and we need to find out.
i think it's time we demanded they opened their space. they can travel freely in our space but yet we aren't allowed in theirs. what are they hiding over there? some say the found a way to our ancestors, some say there's only a handful of them left and that's why they don't want anybody in their space; i say let's find out! -------------------------------------------

no, but it gets to the public anyway. our deepest home space was actually accessible to the public but due to the on-going hostilities from various groups we couldn't guarantee their safety.
intelligence is essential to every state, empire and alliance. you might not like it but that is the simple truth. the jovians conduct an extensive intelligence gathering program on all of us in our own space. they break our rules so why should we abide by theirs?

Don't worry about the Jovians, Don't expect them to follow your customs. They will contact you if they want to. Those of us who have business with them probally dont want to insult them by preaching on the mountain top. -------------------------- Vist the Jericho Fraction Forums

I fear that jovian space contains more danger than we realise. When the jump drives are operational expect an invasion of jovian space. I smell war!

I have heard that they have developed a new secret weapon. It is weilded by the Jovian Warlord Ovour and has the secret project name "Nerfbat". Woe unto those who cross this Jovian.

I do still wonder where Veniel is, though. Kinda strange he's gone.

thing is, their lust for knowlege makes our business theirs, this should work both ways. it feels as if were being watched. ____________________

He got shot down and killed in New Caldari a while ago... Shinra came into posession of the trinary data he was carrying around, though we were never able to recover anything useful from it. |

I disagree. DSM-IV is an effective way of measuring it empirically.

Yes, and in Hell you can hang out with Pulgor and friends. And really wouldn't that make it worth all the trouble?

I would think even as ignorant a heathen as yourself would have a better grasp of Amarran religion than *that*.
Of course it could be some odd attempt at humor that is entirely lost in translation. You never know with you heathen types.

Obviously somewhere very far away since he's not made it back to populated space yet ;) |

The Jovians.....I would definitely like to talk to one of them. They share my lust for knowledge, and my thirst for exploration. They are the only ones with the technology to assist me in my mission....to restabilize the EVE gate and lead a voyage through it

The Jovians - A race that doesn't actually bother anyone, (except by helping to set up inter-racial peace accords,) but kicks the living frack out of anyone that bothers them. Every now and again they throw us some juicy technology, but other than that, they keep to themselves.
Who really cares what they're up to? They're obviously not in it for total galactic domination, otherwise we'd be dominated.
I for one hope no-one ever gets into Jovian space, or if they do, they don't live to return. Some things, mankind isn't ready for. I think the Jovians know this, which is why they took their Ametat and Avetat toys back from that old emperor whatshisname. If you can't play nicely, then you don't get any nice toys.
They're studying us. Perhaps they're studying human nature? Perhaps that's what the closure of the eve gate was all about? To remove us from the mistakes of the past and see if we can do it better this time?
I wonder if we've succeeded? Somehow I doubt it...

I think'a Jovians are disappointed in'us, an'are bein' real' careful on what'ey give us. I 'spect that they're beyond'a whole emprical rule crap. CONCORD, what's 'sposed to be'a joint effort'a all the empires, are'a only one's that can fly Jove spaceships, an'I hear'at they're actually pretty hard things'a fly for'a inexpecienced pilots...
Capsules'an clonin', those're things'at can help people lots', even if'n all the empires try'an force clonin' into some foolish regulatin'...
I think'a Jovians know EXACTLY What'ey're doin', an'I hope'at they don't come out'ta there space anytime soon... is' obvious'at.. as long as all the Empires'are so dominant and like, scared'a compromisin', we aren't ready.
For all'at we know, they might even need us, yeah? Maybe'ere just waitin' for'us'a get stable, an'ere givin' us this technology'a help us along. ----------

But when we can acess their space whats to stop an alliance taking a fleet of titans and carriers into their space and conquering them.
This could decend quickly into a big war!
