So anything that goes against your suggestion you consider trolling...?
Whenever one request's for an opinion on some proposal one makes, one should expect that there may be some people that will not agree with it, the way you have replied to my opinion is to me what one could classify as trolling, you made an assumption, tagged me as a troll and did not add anything positive to the thread, maybe you should reflect a little on that next time.

Seleene wrote:Per the subject, we have a LIKE button for posts. Why not allow folks to see the current bounty of a character here on the forums and then add to it? Of the many big subjects that the CSM is going to be discussing next week at the Summit in Iceland, this is one of those 'little things' that, with enough support, might actually happen in short order. This isn't something that needs or will get a lot of ~Summit time~, it's just an idea that was floated in casual conversation with CCP and I've not seen a single person say it was a bad idea yet. I mean, I can eve mail people out of game, why not show them some lethal affection as well? So, thoughts?

I'm okay with it as long as it shows as a subtle icon on the portrait and not the stupid big red bar that is now so prevalent across the face of portraits everywhere in game.

Oh, and it would give them a reason to integrate the new bounty system with EVE gate properly so we can see bounties on profiles and have GÇ£wantedGÇ¥-overlays on the (forum) images.
More hilarity would ensue if you could quickly notice if the character is wanted because of some ingame stuff or for shitposting. Track ingame bounties and forum bounties seperately (secretly, on server side) . If the ingame bounty is higher, the "wanted"-label will remain red. Should the forum bounty exceed the ingame bounty, the "wanted" label will turn blue.

Does that mean that if everybody was posting from an iOS device there would be less shitposting?

Sure, why not.
Can we see number of posts from in-game? Likes received?
While changing the forums, I'd also like to see the Character Bazaar split into skillpoint ranges, or a better way to search for characters based on skillpoints. People aren't 100% consistent with the title of their post and so google is less efficient, and there's enough movement that you have to look through the first 6-8 pages daily. AND, eveboard doesn't sort by skillpoints either, that I know of. |

We need to take this further...
Report shitposting alt, which helps others identify morons.
Dislike, seriously, and auto block for unpopular comments.
It's cute idea and seemingly harmless but I'd rather see CCP actually fix the forums. At the very least having posts turn up when they are posted and not at some random future time. (a¦á_a¦â) ~ (my spaceblog) http://getoutnastyface.blogspot.co.uk/~ (a¦á_a¦â) |

Call me easily pleased, but I'd be so happy if we could at least get a forum comparable to some of the worst freeware other forums out there. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

It would be cool to place bounty through forums as long as the system is made in a way so that you can't accidentally place a bounty on someone because of a missclick / browser bug - lag. I would suggest the forum caracter sheet rather than beside the like button.
I'm against the "wanted" tag on the forums as we would all quickly have this said wanted tag. *Yelling "Manticooore !" on teamspeak* |

Yes. While I previously suggested that the bounty incurred for a given post should be shown, I now believe that this will lead to a lot of post blanking. It's a cool idea and I would like for you to discuss its implementation!
Couple of concerns:
1. The main / alt priority 2. Utilising EVE-Gate's CSPA Charge system to tap your ISK wallet in-game whilst placing a legit bounty on the forum 3. Fictional bounties have an endless supply of ISK to be applied on a fourm. 4. Social segregation might lead to a lower forum response volume due to large groups placing 500 bounties on the newcomer.
1A. Main / alt priority - If the bounty works in-game it applies to the most active toon on the account - revealing the mains :P 2A. If using the EVE-Gate - Secure code forum-gate comms to prevent monitoring 3A. Fictional bounties - Forum allocations per month might be more favourable than accumulating "place bounty" rights by posting / receiving likes. 4A. Social segregation - limit the number of bounty clicks forum posters can receive
You'll do better in the Town Hall, just a couple of thoughts about it.
Good luck!

Why are you so concerned about mains versus forum alts? If a bounty is placed on a capsuleer who posts in Galnet, why wouldn't the bounty (in "real" in game ISK) be applied to that capsuleer?
And why limit the bounties that can be applied? Remember bounty payouts are already restricted to 20% of the value of a kill mail.
Can you explain your issue/idea with CSPA charges? Give a narrative perhaps, to clarify what you expect will happen? Day 0 advice for new players: Day 0 Advice for New Players |

Yes. People need to be punished for their bad posting, but the precedence of NPC corp alt posting would make this feature mostly useless. It's about time CCP stops catering to the lazy players with this sense of entitlement for fear of losing money. These aren't the people making the game better, these are the people wanting you to turn EVE in to a game that is like most other MMO's. |

Personally the only issue I see with that is that the system would be completely useless because the worst posters on the forum would would deserve a bounty on thier heads would enver really get it anyway. Adding the button would then pretty much be a waste of coder time. My expectation if it gets created is a bunch of goons would get a massive bounty because of the amount of idiots who hates them and a bunch of forum alts getting bounty because of the shitposting. The bounty on goons would be irrevelant because they are already live target where they live and the forum alt most likely never undocked and enver will thus putting the bounty in a black hole for no reason.
Perhaps bounty from the forum could be applied to all character from the same account? I would not really ahve a problem with that but I don't know other's perspective on it... |

No but you're obviously ignorant of the facts of what the CSM is for and what its job is, they're the pulse of the players, and the players use both the forums AND the game and have given CCP feedback in crafting the forums we now us (even if some of it is outright ignored).
Couple that with the fact that a 4 hour town hall meeting about what the CCP was doing in Iceland coming up that dealt with the "game" (of which your ignorance astounds, some of the greatest wars the game has ever seen were started on the forums, so the forums are a part of the GAME) and I would say yes, you are in fact trolling...poorly. Like really go check some of the people that are good at it, work on it, and get back to us.
EDIT: Also yes leme throw a bounty on from here, tia. |

A button to add bounty? No A display of current bounty under the portrait? Yes.
If people want to add bounties to the goon-alt-trolls they can do it in game and not have any misclicking/petitioning/technical complexity that comes with a button to place bounties. Track your wealth with EVEStats - https://ohheck.co.uk/EVEStats/home.php |

We don't use alts to post, we use our mains. NPC corp alt posting is a pubbie thing.
