I would bet if it were a Scorch Baddons / AHAC Zealots & Legions / Tach Oracle Fleets supported by Guardians / New Augorors things might be a lil bit different.
I think if they dropped 50 Avatars supported by Aeons the dying and stagnant Jove Empire that is outnumbered 50/1 might have a few issues on their hands.
You're forgetting one thing. During the time it took to acquire this new technology, the Jove probably developed a lot of new tech of their own. |

The jove are the only race that know what that is, were there when it was, understand it, and can be safely assumed have access to it.
We can't even get to them, but hey can ge to us.
What we see isn't the threat, it's what we don't know. And we have no idea what exists in Jove space. For all we know they can press one button, and everything ends.
Well that book must suck going against everything EVE lore had set the Jove up to be if it gave them that kind of power. I hope it doesn't seep that Mary Sue Jove Sh*t into EVE proper. They are much better as puppet masters then Species 8472.
There are also those who may control the jove the Enheduanni wumbo |

No I didn't. The Jove siphon Tech to the Empires on top of the Empires discovering it. Never in this thread have I said they were on equal footing.
Jove can have a 1000 T4 Ships, probably won't save them from death by a million Drakes. |

T4s can kite from 80+km. Your drakes will be useless. Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

It didn't do that though.
It only makes us aware that the jove WERE NOT the most powerful group in New Eden. In fact, I think it actually put them only a step above us. I think it actually mentions a group more powerful than the jove (another group that assisted the sleeprs directly) and they aren't even the most powerful group in New Eden.
But you can assume, sinse the jove are the only group that remained active, and aware, that they also have access to technology that we do not, because they don't want us to.
It's also a really good book if you haven't read it. It expands on the lore a lot, explains dust, and forshadows a possible future that does't look so good for us.
I personally think that if the sleepers wake up, it will be the 4 empires allied with the jove. The sleeprs didn't sound like they were very benevolent; for all we know they're the reason the EVE gate closed.
I also don't undersand the Mary Sue reference?
And you're right, the jove aren't the puppet masters people expected them to be, but we don't write the lore; so it's not really our call how things unfold. Not liking it is entirely subjective. I personally like the fact that the Jove aren't the end all in EVE, and that the jove manipulation may have more to do with protecting us than anything else.
It could be that they gave us the capsule technology because our return to space put us in a possition to awaken something that we're unprepared to deal with. They could very well be preparing us for a war. |

How exactly do we get a million ships into jove space? And what's to say that there isn't something sitting there with the ability to vaporize an entire armada.
No amount of numbers will save you from a single red button that ends it all. |

Lose them to the Amarr.

The same way the Amarr did and vaporize that thing right back of course.

so even if now we have t3 etc etc, we may still be behind :p lol
after all, have u ever thought that all those NEW ships and NEW techs that are being given to us by CCP are nothing more than glimpses of what Jovians are actually fly lol perhaps we are being given whats old enough for the Jovians to share
^^ kisses and fly safe all Except that T3 doesn't come from the Jovians -- it comes from the Sleepers. Personally, I'm really excited to see what happens with the Sleepers. That is, to see if they will get to "reawaken" inside the bodies of their "hosts" as some recent Eve chronicles hint at. I'm curious to know what actually happened to the humans of the sleeper race as a whole... Anyways, that's off-topic. Yeah, T3 -> sleepers.
lol, good point. But Sleepers would never have existed in the first place if it wasnt the Jovians who are in fact hidden ccp devs! there is a conspiracy here to be cleared out perhaps we need to wait for a page like JovianLeaks.com to be created!
BUT seriously now, it would be great if we could find from time to time bpc from the Jovian ships... after all they do exist in-game database... |

Your brain's full of implants, isn't it? And you're typing this while floating in goo in the cockpit of a ship? With a brain uploader stuck into the pod full of goo to kill you as soon as it's breached and swap you to the med clone? You're a full-body cyborg with an uploaded brain. And why replace a limb with cybernetics when you can just jump-clone to a new you?

Why would you WANT to do anything outside of your ship? You have the whole of space at your fingertips, within easy reach. Outside of the ship, you're just another lump of meat on legs. It's COLD out there. And dangerous. You might drip on the deck plating, or catch a disease or something...

The same way you goons get anything anywhere; drop a cyno and jump-bridge stuff in with a titan! Getting the cyno there would be the hard part, but I'm sure you can just cloak a drone up and jury-rig a warp drive to get it there.

And we may be pod pilots, but that doesn't make us any less human. Being human means we have human wants and needs, and not all of them can be filled from inside a pod.
The broker didn't instigate a war from inside his pod, he had to get out and actually do things in "person".
Edit: And some pod pilots in the lore actually have clones augmented with cybernetic limbs and organs. |

ok look at it this way jove are light years ahead in tech right look what happen when just one earth based weapon was found just one. One shot kill the minmatar fleet. note the jove were around before eve closed so you would think they have those weapons.
1 mil drake fleet insta pop with one shot. In the war amarr vs Jove the jove only use as littled as need to stop the amarr dead in there tracks one jove mothership did that all. So if jove have even a handfull of earth/Teran base weapons will bend over and kiss you sry butt good by because the jove just killed your fleet in one shot. |

also re-read the books if you missed it. The broker wanted the vitoc cure because he had the vitoc express breakdown, and whatever caused it got into his clone pool. so as soon as they woke up they'd immediately start dying again.
the latest gallente-caldari war and the rise of tibus heth was his spite ****-you to Ishukone. if you won't give me my ****ing cure I'm going to kill your nation and put it in the hands of a man I believe to be a zealot idiot. Caldari will die and you're the reason I'm going to kill the dream.
also to consider all anyone has seen of sleeper tech is realistically a bunch of autonomous security drones that happen to be as big as cruisers, and such. Haven't seen warships yet. |

Also why go through the whole procedural of getting into a cloned squishy body, when I could upload into shells and have mes a crowd and thus make a blob of me ships blowing up your squishy thing? Also until I have limbs capable of breaching that door it will not be enough. Though the implants are nice they really dont seem to be in my toon. More like they go in the pod than in my head. It would be nice if slotting an implant in altered the appearance of my character. |
