then whatever guns you can cram in with probably targetpainter/tracking comp.
I must say that a tracking comp/target painter combo gives a nice hit rate/damage add.
If you try this in 0.0, you will die, and you will have deserved it.
Go close-range. 800mms and sieges in highs (if you have half decent gunnery skills, (and what self respecting tempest piolet doesn't?) you'll get more dot with the 800mms, and emp ammo is cheeper than torps anyway. Get an AB, web, and cap chargers in mid. Armor tank in low. GL with angels, any other types (as they only do 2 types of damage) will die. easily.

You suddenly doesn't aprear to be the brightest player I have met. You give no costructive arguments, have not even read my post realy. Because if you did you would realise that the shield tank on this is better then most tempest pilots use, and it is accomplished without the drawbacks of using much powergrid or causing high capacitor drain.
In fact you seem completely oblivious to hard numbers and or knowledge of shieldtanking of any kind.
111 HP/sec shieldboosting, using just 19.5 energy/sec is outstanding, especialy considering there is a hardener on as well! Most setups I have seen use a large T2 and an amplifier, giving 78 HP/sec shield regeneration at the expense of 40 energy/sec. Sure you save 2 slots compared to the gistii, but those need to be filled with cap recharger IIs to keep the very weak tank running!!!
You have given absolutely no arguments other then to attack me for not having flown a tempest yet myself. You laugh at the shield boost setup, while all numbers indicate it is superior to what others mentioned so far.
If you are capable of making a constructive reply I dare you, but stop insulting my intelligence you arrogant *****. And for your information, I know experienced tempest pilots and have discussed this with them, it certainly is viable!
It's a bad idea to pay more for the mods than the ship by a factor of 2. Now, while you may live in your great crystal palace, the rest of us meer mortals don't have the kind of capital to buy 3, hard to find, 60mill isk modules, and still have enough left over to buy silly little things like, oh, guns. While it may be a "viable" idea, the purpose of rat-hunting is to EARN money, not spend extreme ammounts of it, and, most people looking for a rat hunting set-up generally haven't done much rat hunting before, and are, therefore, poor. Constructive? maybe not, but true.
