They are only as good as their credibility and reputation. If Solar Strom's director base was to simply add anyone to the corp it would be filled with rif-raff and quickly implode not to mention look like foolish zergling nublets which we most definitely are not. People serious about joining a good corp will go through the interview process and so on as a precautionary measure because they know and realize they're joining a group of serious gamers that want to go the distance.
