Recruitment
Solar Storm is a small corporation of dedicated veteran players, we are members of the Ascendant Frontier and mainly based in Impass..
We are seeking to recruit new and veteran player alike..
What we seek in you:
ò Player attitude.Friendly, open and cooperative players, with a warped sense of humour are always welcome..
ò Willingness to brave 0.0 space, namely our main base of operations in Impass, if you lack the necessary experience to cope with 0.0 we have plenty of able and willing members to train you in æWays of the Force'. We're a member of Ascendant Frontier, and have a commitment to maintaining a presence there. We hunt, build, refine, and help defend the region from pirate and enemy alliance incursion.
ò PvP. We're primarily a non-PvP corporation, but all members have to acquire at least some level of capability with Battleships, and work toward increased survivability in combat. We do not seek out conflict, but on occasions it comes knocking, at these time we expect all member to pull on their flight suits and SCRAMBLE all available ships in to the combat arena and help defend Corporation and Alliance
What we can offer you:
ò Corp. A stable Corp. of friendly players dedicated to Corp. and each other, we work together to make a better gaming life for all..
ò Training. We share our knowledge base, practical and technical, everything from skill books, hunting, PvP basics, manufacture, organize skill priorities, run agents. Veteran Players may already know all of this stuff, but we're looking for new players too
ò Blueprint. We have an extensive catalogue of Bpo's - ammo, guns, modules, indies, frigates, destroyers, cruisers, Battle Cruiser and Battleships. If you need something building talk to the Industrial Department or become one of its members and help others with there construction needs
As all Corps. we have certain rules, well more like guidelines, these are them..
Honour
Solar Storm is a corporate citizen in the EVE universe. We expect a certain level of maturity from our members. It doesn't mean you have to be an old fart, but we do expect that members act with dignity and treat other players of EVE with honour and respect. Kicking arse and being polite about it is the solar storm way!

Duty
Duty does not mean slavery. The more ISK, minerals and time you put into solar storm, the more you will get in return. Members are free to choose their own path to glory within S olar S torm, but are encouraged to participate and contribute to the corporation on a regular basis. Additionally, Solar Storm does not condone piracy of any fashion (i.e. ransoming, scamming, etc). You can look like a pirate, even have a pet parrot... but act like a pirate and you will walk the plank.
Corporation
The more you commit to solar storm, the more we will commit to you - career advancement is a very real opportunity in the Solar Storm Corporation.
You are Solar Storm, and Solar Storm is you. Solar Storm is a "community" corporation that operates in symbiosis with its members. The commitment and actions of our members allows us to achieve our corporate goals. We act primarily for the well-being of Solar Storm, which in turn, allows the Corporation to provide for the needs of its members.

When Eve Defence Force joined Xetic, Solor Storm was our Partner Corp. Because of them we settled in quickly. During the Xetic/The 5 war, we flew into combat together and where always willing to help support us (and other corps).
As a result, Solst have become friends of EDF and we thoroughly recomend them. In fact, I'd go so far as to say they're the second best corp in Eve

An absolutely great bunch of guys. I joined when I came back to Eve and have had a blast ever since. The corp is what you make of it -- no pressure but plenty of support if you decide to help out.
And who can say no to 6 hour smack free fleet battles?

Ill be to the point - BUMP
SOLST is a mostly 0.0 based corp that is a member of an alliance - ASCN - so some PvP will always be there. Recommended minimum is Cruiser 3 and Indy 3.
You wont get handouts from SOLST - what you will get is friendship, support, advice and experience - as well as a group that will support a new pilot who has gained our trust to build any ship through strip mining a belt or 3.
Im the one of the quiet ones in SOLST - almost all the rest are insane to some degree or more - but we want pilots who wish to be part of a community that knows how to enjoy themselves.
If you can believe that our ideal - "To have fun, but not at others expense" isnt cheesy or stale. Then SOLST can be your home and you will be very welcome.

SOLST is a great group of guys(and gal).
Also those looking for PVP opportunity need not shy away, because there is almost always so bugger or other to shoot, be it FA, currently, or whomever.
Over all This corp is especialy well suited to the not-noob-but-not-vet kind of players players(people who understand the game fairly well but maybe don't have the SP to just do whatever they please) who are looking to get out to 0.0/Alliance Space for the first time and get a better taste of what EVE has to offer.
I wouldn't be anywere else unless I was offered very substantial things, like Herems or Nucelear weapons.

Aaah Yes our Angels.
Truly the hardest NPC ships in EvE. They do all 4 types of damage and are stupidly fast (2000m/sec in a 1 mill Warlord battleship anyone?)
They also have a lot of aggressive webber and scramber Interceptors and AFs which are hard to kill as they are fast and tough.
You need to be able to tank the BS damage long enough to kill them - then turn your attention to the tacklers - or have a long range setup with BMs so you can snipe at your leisure.
But once youve mastered them youll find out why angel hunters are recognized as having some of the toughest setups in PvP.

Currently corp is split between Euro and NA timezones. Usually 5-10 people on at a minimum 24/7. Call Cordy and ask for an invite to our chat room - worst she will do is whip your ass!

Awesome corp!
In a week with the corp, I've mined rares, NPC'd angel rats (the toughest in the game) and been in multiple gangs to protect corp/alliance territory.
Always something good going on and allot of mature folks to talk with.
Convo cordy, she loves it...just tell her u have a sexy ass and you're in!

I interviewed with several quality corps before deciding on this one. My reasons?
Although you are part of a corp, you do what you want. Wanna make isk? Join. Wanna shoot nasty rats? Join. Wanna help build a navy? Join. Got loftier goals still? Join and find out.
For those that can handle a challenge you will not be dissapointed ...

I can understand the wariness, but mostly because hearing that ascn has put up many outposts is a pretty good sign of teamwork and coordination, something i'm looking for. But if you think i'm some sort of spy then there's nothing else I can do

Well we are no longer in ASCN, We will be the Thrid corp in The Axiom Empire.. This is a major stepping stone to establishing our home in 0.0 for the years to come.
We need dedicated PVP people, My Fleet Commander keeps sending me sugestive eve-mails about what he wants to do to my pod if I don't find him more people sooo please save me!!!!! some of the better ones are a sieve, a lamp shade,
We also need miners and production people of various skill levels.. we have bistot that needs killing.
And if you are new we even have a training corp till your ready to brave the wilds that are Impass.

Hi, came across your corp whilst browing the forums.
Im relativly new to eve, been playing about a month and a half.
I'm pretty much a hardcore miner, put all my skills into mining and I am just about to purchase my first mining barge and will be good to mine anything including ice from today.
Im from the UK so im on GMT time though I have a lot of free time so im on pretty much on all the time.
So do you think the corp has room for a hard working miner like me?

Corporations in EVE are as businesses are in the real world. They are only as good as their credibility and reputation. If Solar Strom's director base was to simply add anyone to the corp it would be filled with rif-raff and quickly implode not to mention look like foolish zergling nublets which we most definitely are not.
People serious about joining a good corp will go through the interview process and so on as a precautionary measure because they know and realize they're joining a group of serious gamers that want to go the distance.

wow good week last week, started out shooting war targets, then slowed down to some gate camps, then mined all day Sat till BoB came to visit, then changed into something large and scorpion like, Sunday I mined and hauled for hours and hours and hours. That was alot of bistot and arknor we mined. yummy.

Solar Storm is looking for a few good people, we are a (mostly) mature group that wants to make friends, get rich and have fun. We've met alot of great people, made plenty of iskies and had loads of fun on the way there.
