However, I still stay the extra day because I too have to take one of those dreadful morning flights. That's awful any day, but Sunday is right out.
So there you have another reason to stay if you feel you can afford it, and while you're there you might as well do the lagoon. 
And yeah, the golden circle thing is indeed pretty rushed - it's called express for a reason. (At some point I have to take a proper holiday in Iceland, rather than cramming in a few things around fanfest like I do now. It's quite a country...)

It's possible you guys are right, all I know is that they've asked me for ID on at least one occasion (not sure about last year, or what would have happened if I'd refused). Fairly sure they've never checked the confirmation number though, but they do know my char and IRL name...
I just figure it would be an easy way to troll someone you know are going by claiming their stuff in their name if ccp doesn't do some form of id check.
