Hi I'm a total noob to faction warfare,
If you're part of faction warfare and you enter the enemies space you get fired upon by the faction police/navy, this makes sense for gates/stations etc.
However, if you warp out say to asteroid belts and other celestial objects where there are no police/navy normally are you 'safe' from the faction navies interference?
Will they come and get you like concord does when you attack someone who you are at faction war with?
How strong are the faction navies, could you reasonably expect (by yourself) to move through enemy space in a frigate without too much trouble, how about a cruiser etc? What does it take to tank the navies themselves?
Thanks,

They show up no matter where you are and start plinging away at you. The higher the security of the system the faster they show up. I'm not sure if the damage is increased or not. It doesn't matter what you do regarding anything else just how long you sit at a certain location. So what people do is warp around trying to land on war targets and alpha them to smithereens. There are also those who play station games with well tanked ships or logi support in popular systems like Jita or Dodixe. If you want to take these people out you have to get them to agress and bring a lot of high damage so that you can kill them in 60 seconds, so if that isn't available ignore them.
Edit: Moving in a frigate or other small craft is the best way to move through enemy systems, the bigger the ship the more dangerous it becomes. The danger is from other WT's catching you and preventing you from warping cause then the navy will come and start working away at your HP. |

They need to be deleted.
For some reason CCP think it is ok for FW people to put up with unwanted/forced npc content while no one else has to. No other group in eve has this crap to deal with. CCP must have had a logic fail the day NPC navies were added.
You join a 365 23/7 war - you should be killable anywhere without NPC protection.
CCP are slowly getting there - they are starting to see the light but just need a bit more of a nudge before they can admit how wrong they have had it for so long.
They know the navies do nothing except stop pvp in a pvp sandbox defeating the entire point of eve and the fw system. So yeah - time to admit your wrongs CCP and fix it.

Thanks for the information,
That's annoying I was hoping the Navies didn't interfere as much, as a very casual player the prospect of an 'opt-in/out 0.0 style environment in high-sec' was quite appealing.

If you have a nanoed frigate / cruiser which can not be catched at gate in low-sec then you can also safely travel through enemy high-sec. In enemy high-sec you just need to to warp constantly around to be safe from enemy faction navy. However, once you stay on grid longer than a specified amount of time faction navy will spawn and will slowly engaging you. How fast and how hard the response is depends on the security status on the system. If you are fast you can also kill enemy pilots before the faction navy hits you and run away. High alpha ships are usually good for this job.
Notice: Cloaking devices DO NOT WORK in enemy high-sec systems. |
