Hyey	Posted - 2005.05.19 23:11:00 - [3] Ermm well I doubt the tempest will ever become flavor of the month again unless they nerf other guns to oblivion. TO truely be good it requires alot of skill, more than an arma or apoc in comparison. Right now I see alot of scorps and sniping pocs more than anything else. ~~ Hyey I just payed 15 dollars this month just to be able to respond on the forums... stupid cancellation error.

Yeh. I have a feeling Battleships are getting into balance for once. And all these ppl whining that they won't be able to do lvl 4 mission's in Raven anymore are plain stupid. I'm sure Raven works out fine with a bit of training of the new skills that come out soon. There has allways been solutions to do lvl 4 missions solo with every BS in the game. Or one can allways train for HAC's

Maybe if your using tachs but personally i like mega beams and mega pulse much better on a the geddon

Dont think that the Raven will lay down and die though - I am getting my missile skills ready for learning the new TII and other missile skills that will mean that the Raven, though no longer a `no-brainer', will still be good if you stick at the skill learning.
Cummilla	Posted - 2005.05.20 18:19:00 - [28] Despite what I earlier thought about the Raven post missile change, I think it's gonna still be a great ship with a little downsizing(in total damage dealing) to accomodate a setup that will kill smaller ships. Also if you pair up as a raven pilot with a mega-tanked\high cap ship like a Apoc you can tailor some "remote transfer turret" use that makes the duo truly astonishing in terms of their capabilities. I think every battleship has a good role now. Even the scorp has a decent role in missions in particular, although I still scorn CCP for the EW changes because I think they were simply bad for the game from the standpoint of taking away an option that those who are outnumbered and consistently blobbed had to turn the tables with some cunning and skill. Of course, which ship is best now is largely I think an economic question unless isk is of no concern to you. I think when you factor in costs, etc, that the Geddon is the clear winner. You'll be flying longer for less in a geddon than say a megathron, raven, Tempest, or Apoc. And you'll still be in statistically what is either the highest damage BS in the game or tied for first(w/ the mega).
