I have started a corp devoted to organising races for peeps all over eve and for any kill level, no interceprots required. Please post here or convo Imiarr timshae or myself for details.

I have recently created my own corporation, called "EVE race Corp". I made this corp to bring the very involving sport of racing to all people. No matter their background,skill or creed. The first race will be on Friday 3rd of June, and i hope you will enter. The races are tier based , with beginner ( no interceptors) prize 5 million and a condor. Intermediate (no interceptors) prize 10 million and a blackbird and professional (intercptors allowed) and a prize of 20 million and a badger. Anyone can enter and the race will be located in The Citadel region. The exact system will be released closer to date to prevent sabotage or overcrowding of the systems services. In any race warping or combat wil result in immediate disqualification. The entrance fee for this grand opening will be 1 million per pilot.
Here is some general info
Rules
1) My decision is absolutely final. I reserve the
right to cancel and refund any entry fee or races.
2) Prizes may not immediatley be presented, as time for
double-checking results is needed.
3) No firing on other players in any matches other than
"open".
4) If the entrance fee is recieved but you are not at the
race start then you will forfeit the match. The entrance fee
will also not be returned unless you can prove
circumstances i.e. Stuck character.
5) Any money sent to EVE-race that does not equal any
entrance fee will be considered a donation. If you send us
2 million you will be entered to beginner(1 million entrance
fee) and the rest will be a donation.
Prices
All entrance fees must be sent to this character.
1) Beginner races have a entrance fee of 1 million isk,
thats 1,000,000.
2) Intermediate races have a entrance fee of 2.5 million
isk, thats 2,500,000.
3) Professional races have a entrance fee of 5 million isk,
thats 5,000,000.
4) Open races have a entrance fee of 10 million, thats
10,000,000.
General
The entrance fee's for races correspond to the value of
the prize, and the estimated level of competition. The chat
channel "EVE-race" will be frequented by represantives of
EVE-race Corp and eve-race herself. Information about
race locations, times and prizes will be given out on the
mailing list "EVE RACE" with about one weeks notice for
players. The races should be weekly unless otherwise
stated by the mailing lists.
Races
Beginner- We all have to start somewhere. No combat. No interceptors.
Intermediate-That much better than beginner. No combat. No interceptors.
Professional- The big boys, expect tough competition. No
combat.
Open- ((WARNING)) These matches are free for all, to
participate you must send your entrance fee then apply to
join EVE-race corp. No roles will be given so you can
rejoin your corp as soon as possible.
Webifiers, guns and everything except smartbombs and
MWDs will be allowed in these matches.. No compensation
will be presented for the loss of a ship. If you destroy
all other competitors you automatically win.
Interceptor and frigate class ships only.
These match are rare and may be monthy or less frequent depending on demand.
Any specific information required for a match i.e. location will be given
out via our mailing list "EVE-race".

Just two points.
1. I think it was DTI racing? Somthing like that, but this isnt the first racing event thingy/corp.
2. No one is going to leave their corp, you really have to re think that bit.
Otherwise good luck, i may take a look after a few races to see if its legit.

Thanks for the point, the lack of peeps leaving their corps is why those matches will be so infrequnet, but there may be some demand.

Yep. My idea was for a free for all race, to have it spanning across some low sec space.
Try and keep it as simple as possible ;)

how will u handle insta's ? Are they allowed ? If not, how will u check.
Mebbe it's best to keep the race in one solar system, with checkpoints where competitors have to touch one the race officials ship in order for it to count as "passed".
What u can do, is give everyone bookmarks, but move the race official 60-100 km away from the bm u supply, so warping as well as sustained speed is neccessary to win.
In any case, i hope this works out for you, might want to up the pricemoney.

Hmm sounds intresting.
Don't think people will leave their corp for a race, because when joining their own corp again it's always a mess to get his roles back.
A solution might be is to make the race go trough space where you can fire on each other. Or fix something with corp war.
Also raving in other ships then frigates might be fun. For instance an indy race would be hilarious.

This sounds like something I would love to give a try.
One Question I have is I would need a basic Idea of when these races wouls be to see if I would be able to Participate. One reason why a Saturday maybe better than a Friday. People are still at work on Friday.

Heh, you won't be the first racing corp. Racing came to Eve a loooong time ago.
Unfortunately DUI racing, my own racing corporation, shut down a few months ago due to outside situations (lots of work, World of Warcraft etc. etc.). It was quite fun, especially when I organised the betting for the Caldari championships, but I couldn't really continue with it any more.
Good luck with your effort. Hope you bag some racers, and if I ever manage to find the time to come back to Eve, if you need some tips, let me know.

Instead of having people leave their corporations to join yours, you might consider allowing corporations to join the race and have one or two corp members race at any one time.

Ashen Lion Mining and Production Consortium is holding 2 races this weekend in hulf.
The first will be a non warp race around Rebulic University station in hroduko the second a warp jump race around hulf. All are welcome and an entry fee of 100k isk is required. Winner takes all!
Races at 3pm and 5pm gmt on Sunday. Feel free to come and practice on Saturday.
Eve race is welcome to join in.

id leave my corp for an open race definitly!!! but what exactly would an open race involve? racing through points in a system or in a small area of space to involve combat? or racing through different systems?

And now for the rules for 2days race.
For non warp race interceptors and frigates and destroyers must do 3 laps.
Cruisers and Battleships must do 2 laps
Other ships will only do 1 lap.
Each ship class will have a 1st place prize.
For the warp/jump race prizes will be awarded for 1st 2nd and 3rd place. However, all ships are welcome to take part and special prizes will be awarded for each class.

Was a good race with some close competitions in the beginner section and a surprise win in the pro session as well!
The course was 3 checkpoints but I hear they are looking to expand that as the confidence of the organisers grows and a stable base of r |

Sunday saw a sucessful race in Hroduko with Lanu winning the 8mil isk first prize.
The winner of hulf race was Brenn Gunn winning 1 mil isk Annatar came second winning 500k isk. kale ryoko came third winning 250k isk.
