I started playing EVE a year ago. The reason for staring playing EVE was that there have been so much possibilitys.
The Problem i see atm is that the possibilitys get less and less. The only way to go seems PvP nower days. Empire Wars are way to cheap. Agents will be transfered to low security Systems (or 0.0). Everyone can declar war on everyone.
U can call me a carebear if u want to but i would like to see empire warss get much more expensive (wars should be something for 0.0), all stations in 0.0 should be conquerable. Agents should stay in Empire and in secure Space (otherwise the first mission is "how to get to my agent safe") .
The options for players that don't want to do PvP are the following atm and with the planed changes:
Mining (but no Megacyte, Zydrine and Morphite)
Doing Missions (but only up to Level 3 without risking getting shot)
Trading (what should u trade ? low mins or low loot ?)
Building (without Megacyte, Zydrine and Morphite ? Tech II Compos? without POS?)
Researching (every 2 weeks something to do YEAH)
The group of PvP - Players maybe the loudest but i guess they are not the biggest.
What is coming next ? EVE - CS ? You can get everything in a system for free (like on test server) and on every Sunday are Clanwars ?
I think everyone knows that there are corps that are spezialized on Empire wars. (sitting in a Sniper-Apoc with Warpcore Stabs in the Lows and shooting on everything that is red). This tactic tells me that Empire Wars are way to cheap. But if CCP wants to get rid of the "carebears" it's there money....
Just the 2 cents of a "carebear" (that is thinking about subscribing the ACC (because only PvP u can get in every Ego-Shooter and there u need real Skill (or Cheats) and not only Skillpoints that depend on the time you are playing))

That means u have to be in an Ally to use 75 % of the games Options ? very nice!
Have u tought about ppl with crappy english ?
Allys are usaly that big that the common language is English not everyone wants to be in an ally with 1000 ppl there are altough ppl that don't even want a corp....
I guess i was even talking of ppl that don't want to have to do anything with PvP (even PvP protectors...)
Now i know why so many ppl are qutting eve and starting WoW

Thanks for your anwsers blacklight it really got me some new points of view.
But just imagine someone in EVE doesn't like you.
Your only Option is to join a NPC corp any other way he will kill u as long as he wants.
And there are DEFINATLY Corps that play this way.
Empire Wars are to cheap....

I hope u didn't mean me, because i didn't want to flame anyone.
I just don't get the Logic of empire wars atm.
You can pay Concord so they don't shot u if u shot someone in Space where u're normally not able to do this. Why couldn't you pay Concord to shot the aggressor ?
Once again i think empire wars are to cheap. I'm speaking for the ppl that like the oppertunity of PvP but do want to use it all the time (and empire war means PvP EVERYWHERE)

And what do u say about ppl that gate-camp in yulai with 2 frigs and an indy ? They shot every indy they see. Is that wanted that way ?
