Abraham Nalelmir wrote:Um... What is a "Node death"? :S
My apologies for not being more clear on this side. A "node death" occurs when part of our server infrastructure fails to work properly; this means that requests from Tranquility can't be handled as expected which could result in all sort of problems.
While gladly such failures are very rare, unfortunately they usually cannot be resolved in a graceful way. In this case we had to reboot the server to fix the problem. CCP Phantom - German Community Coordinator |

Vander Finagle wrote:Abraham Nalelmir wrote:Um... What is a "Node death"? :S Hope you sort it out quick :D Basically it's indicative of a bad memory module. Could be any number of things though, hope it's something that a reboot can fix otherwise they'll have to take down the server and do some hardware reps on it.
Probably but if it's a memory module they can leave out this single node until next downtime - mind they are on a cluster, normally it's not a problem to cut it out and reboot to normal work, while rep the dead thing. As for losses, reroll to the point of time systems indicated first the death of the node. should be possible, shouldn't it? |

Are you really that dumb, or do you just like to complain regardless? It's about time CCP stops catering to the lazy players with this sense of entitlement for fear of losing money. These aren't the people making the game better, these are the people wanting you to turn EVE in to a game that is like most other MMO's. |

Update at 16:33 UTC Tranquility was successfully restarted and accepts connections again since 16:30 UTC. Big thanks to our devs who swiftly fixed the problem!
