Every so often I hear a beep beep beep sound. It seems to only happen when I am in at least low-sec space and if there is someone else in local. Does this new sound mean something or is it just "atmospheric?" |

It's probably part of the new dynamic ambient music.
In other words, you can ignore it.
It could also possibly be your computer telling you it's dying. In which case, ignore it until you smell smoke, then get a new computer  |

I think I usually get that tone when I pick up a flag, most usually whenever I mix it up with rats. I believe the sound is also made when the timer for the flag is about to end. I could very well be misremembering this though.

yeah, I got confused by a beeping that I figured to be a capacitor warning. I had a curse setup that was stable around the warning level just going off all the fricken time. Really annoying. |

you can also turn it off completely.

I like the timer start and expiration sounds, they are informative, I don't have to look at the flags to know what's happening.
The capacitor warning would also be nice, if it wasn't so close tonally to low HP warnings.

The cap warning totally freaked me out after patch, it was on so high % that it was beeping all the time, took couple minutes to figure out what it was, i just dropped it to somethin like 10% so now its actually useful instead constant beeping. |
