Security status of the player?
Does he hang out in 0.0 space?
With the way security status is right now (i.e. any damage to sec status is practically irreparable), assasinating anyone with sec rating higher than -5.0 anywhere higher than 0.0 is worth a hell of a lot more than a paltry 1mill. yes he has a rating of 0.0 and i can kill him off right now. but i am very busy. i have a rating of 0.1 so im sure if i attack someone i will jsut be 0.0....all i do is wait out my parole sentence made by the police for an hr...sorted. ( ive done it b4 )..but does ur sec lvl drop even more if u kill them?..last time i shot someone and it only dropped by a .1

I killed someone in a 0.4 system and got no security hit. I was a member of his gang at the time tho. ;) --------------------------------------- CSM Chat Log September 25, 2003: Fuhry> Some things we simply cannot test, and therefore we just put it on Tranq. cross our fingers and then get into panic m |

Yes.
And you get a MASSIVE sec hit for podding.
Even if they shot first.

Shooting you lose 0.1, this was in a .1 system - assume same in all non-0.0
Killing you get a bigger hit, I don't recall what it was in beta and in release I have only killed after being fired on.
Podding is supposed to be a huge sec hit, never podded in either.
No, far as I see bounty hunters can only bounty hunt -5.0s and worse in anything other than 0.0 (assuming that as I expect there is no faction hit)
However, I hear podding a -10.0 character will still give a sec hit, and with the ABSOLUTELY F$%^$ed up sec bonuses this renders BHs into virtual pirates and ppl who have accidents the same.
I recall reading earlier on that podding in 0.0 also gave a sec hit, tho whether same not sure. Regardless, even a -0.4 sec hit adds up fast as the gains of 0.1 take a week or more of reg play.

If corp has declared war you should be able to kill with no hit at all.. But it must be a declared war not just low faction standing

I can confirm within a Corp war, you may pod with no security hits. Nothing to see here .... move along. |
