Its been a slow day at the office so spent far too much time reading these forums and adding comments and sub comments
There does seem to be a double standard here, if certain corps post or start a topic "it is seen as they are smack talking" "saying they are uber, everyone else sucks"
But other corps posts then it is seen as a reasonable post with valid points - I believe people see the person or corp and write a quick reply without actually reading the original post.
Yes all corps have smak talkers and they are most likley in the minority of the corp, you will most likely find most corps discourage smak talking in local ours does but generalisations spring up and for most of the part they are untrue and are certainly unhelpful.
EVE is a game we play because we enjoy it - writing in forums is to express our opinions but people use it to ram their views down peoples throats.

Stormfront - it seems you only have to make a neutral comment about the weather and it is seen as flaming.
Flaming it seems is about number of comments rather than what the comment was
You also wear the SCAR of the 5 it means all views are flames, valid or not

Darken two that is the first thing you said I agree with. Abusing people is totally not on, a little jesting is fine but to get messages I am going to kill you which a few of us in corp have recieved is just plain wrong.
