I might as well as attach a few stripminers, it feels like I am driving a slightly faster version of a Mining barge. and I have the skills to help with agility and speed. They need to increase Agility by 40-50 percent and make it faster by 30-40m/s
Also drop the 10NM Microwarpdrive powergrid needs by 25
Its more fun flying the fast incrusus than this slow bogged down beast. I might as well pilot a Battleship.

Yes well there was a big thread about this and they seem to be working on it. I only hope they spend time on it as atm an entire class of ships is borked. ________________________________________________________

speed is okay as i see it, thats not the problem i see tho i think its more with the warping or more so the alignment. Actually its just the overall agility of a cruiser. Cruiser takes about 7 seconds i think it is to warp, frig about 1-2 secs and a BS roughly quarter of a minute. But still i think that a cruisers warpout should be dropped to around 4-5 just to make them more cruisy friendly. Make them the patrol ships and wolfpack ships. I love cruisers cos they have firepower and are more movement friendly but they're really needing some loving cos in terms of practicality they just aren't there compared to roles of a BS and frigate.
faster by 30-40 m/s would be cool too.
I dont want them to outrate battleships, EW, tanking and weapons platforms is what they should remain best as but for quick firepower then i think cruisers need a lil league for themselves. Not scraping the frigs and BSs roles

i personally never had problems with cruisers when i used them,just work on navigation skills,evasive manuevering 5 and navigation 4,plus other handy nicknaks made the thing turn like a frigate,use alot less energy warping,lower time to get into warp,and increased its speed by 30-35m/s,im now in a battlecruiser and can say the same,sure theyre slow but with navigation 4 my cyclone goes from 160 to 198,and turns as well as the abovementioned cruisers,just a matter of skill selection

i got all relevant navigation skills at lvl4 and i still think cruisers are dead slow. Btw way to judge speed/agility by matari ships... how about caldari ones?  ____ When flying by Concord Customs Commander's Dominix I distinctly heard him saying "... world domination..." |

most of my cruiser time were caldari cruisers,i loved my caracal with only 500 less shield power tha my cyclone has now(2550) but i got tired of a missle boat,and switched permanetly to matari vessels by the way specs on the caracal were 195 speed,and handled just as well as a kestrel

But wow, what a way to get past a blockade! With instas gone...
Warp in at 500km(scout bookmark), accelerate to 10km/s, laugh as their turrets try to track you within their hit range.

Another annoying (cruiser only, in most normal conditions) 'feature' is that if you try to align and warp out with your MWD running, it takes FOREVER. Especially if your MWD goes off during the align phase. You end up pointing at the destination doing "instawarp" speeds while your speed gradually drops. Which is really annoying if you have to get the hell out of dodge quickly, near the end of an MWD cycle :/ |
