I have been looking at setting up a medium tower and was wondering about something.
The minimum CPU needed to do a simple reaction with a medium tower is 3000 CPU.
That comes from the medium reactor needing 1500 cpu and each silo or harvestor needing 500 cpu.
My question is, is it intentional that the Amarr Medium tower is the only tower that does not have 3000 cpu and therefor the only medium tower that can not run a simple reaction? The amarr tower only have 2750 CPU. Unless there is some CPU increasing structure that I can not find on the market, that seems a little like getting the short end of the stick if you operate out of any of the amarr regions where you have ready access to amarr racial ice or you have to ship ice from another race into the area so you can run a different racial medium tower. I guess of course you could always run a large tower and increase the amount of fuel you need as well when all the other racial medium towers can get the job done.

Aye, I have run into that problem too. The way I worked around it is to use two couplers on the infeed and a silo on the outfeed. It doesn't hold as much, but its a workaround.

Not so!
Try this:
Harv -------------------------> Reactor -> coupling -> Silo Silo (offline) -> Coupling ->
