could it be possible to change companies ? that said you log off only if warped jammed ie by another player for 30 minutes otherwise its 2 minutes if jammed by NPCs and 30 seconds if in clear space.

Maybe the concept is perfect, but the timer is too long. 5 or 10 minutes compared to 30 would be more acceptable IMO.
Oh ffs, people, *read* the dev blog (including comments) before posting here.
The timer only applies if you log off during (pvp) combat. If you weren't warp scrambled, your ship will warp to a safespot and you have ample time to log back in and move your ship assuming it was a genuine connection drop - nobody is going to find your ship in a few minutes. If you're too lazy to log back in and someone has a covop nearby with probes... well, then they deserve to get your shiny ship.
If you were scrambled when you logged, your ship will sit there for 30minutes , almost certainly getting destroyed before that 30min is up. Which is exactly how it should be.
My only question is why this wasn't implemented a year ago. *Very* good move.

because you need time to scan probe and find your target.

That's easy enough.
Though, I'm sure we will have all kinds of people then simply snatching the wire out of the wall when they get too chicken to die.
EDIT: Quote: ...K 30 min timer seems wayyy too extreme, this means that if I fight a 1v1 vs an inty and kill him, then I decide to go to bed so I safespot and log, that he could then come back in a covert ops and probe and find me, and then kill my ship which is still there?
You're relying on the misnomer of "safespot"
IMO, you shouldn't even be able to log out in space at all, that's only coded in for the convenience of the players, such as those going to bed. Honestly, from an roleplay standpoint, where does your pod go while you are logged out? Into another dimension? Does it jump out and leave the ship that is still there in space, then goes and hides behind a tree? I see logging in space as something along the lines of, "Ok, I'm the pilot, I need rest. Let me go hide behind this tree and hope to God no one finds me." Space should be ruthless, whether you're logged in or not.
Sorry to say this but tahts theory you can diffentiate loggoff from disconnection. What you say is true but 90 % of us know about computers enough to not be afraid to terminate the software internet connection or unplug the cable modem from computer. And then you cant tell anything...
Anyway i think its the onl;y way , if you cdt log back fast and the log off to ss should save you for enough time for you to be back .If not sorry.I think its best its possible to do

still looking forward to when this patch finally hits us so to speak - is it tomorrow ie tuesday or is it next week on the tuesday ? or into july perhaps. I think it has been said everything is hardcoded now so no new features in this patch - its just testing and other stability issues and then in we go - looking forward to it
