1) Where can I attack someone?
0.4 or lower near belts and planets And in 0.0 everywhere
2) If someone attacks you, can you shoot back without being ganked by gate guns or concord?
Yes, you can also shoot anyway if their security status is -5 or lower, and the sentries will now shoot you, the person you shoot however will be permitted to defend himself, so choose your targets carefully.
3) If someone attacks me, can a corp mate help me and shoot the agressor?
Yes, when someone agresses a member of local, EVERYONE can shoot at him till his criminal flagging timer wears off.
4) If they are in a gang?
Only the person who fires on you is flagged, other members are not valid targets, and you will be flagged if you shoot them, unless of course they are of course -5 or lower.
5) How about standings?
Concord standing loss is -0.1 for initiating agression, -0.4 for a ship kill, and -1.225 for a pod kill. Only your security status (Concord Standing) has any say in the matter, if a corp/player is -10 to you and your corp, it does not matter, they are still not a viable target.
6) When can you shoot peeps with bad standing?
If they are -5, anywhere. They are free for all, as are their pods, and therefore their bounties.
7) When I join a gang that is at war (and im not) can I shoot to?
If you are in a gang with someone who is at war, their enemy corp are allowed to treat you as a VALID TARGET. You are allowed to defend yourself from this person, but are however not allowed to agress them first.
This overview of security status may also help :
Players with -1.5 or greater can enter all systems
Players with -2.0 or worse cannot enter 1.0 systems
Players with -2.5 or worse cannot enter 0.9 systems
Players with -3.0 or worse cannot enter 0.8 systems
Players with -3.5 or worse cannot enter 0.7 systems
Players with -4.0 or worse cannot enter 0.6 systems
Players with -4.5 or worse cannot enter 0.5 systems
Once your security status reaches -5 you are considered an outlaw and can be attacked by players anywhere without CONCORD intervention.
