Hi guys... I'm new to EVE and I admit that I am finding very difficult to play the game. I made the first tutorial of Aura and am now in the second, but there is something wrong.
Combat Basics Objectives The Following Objectives must be completed to finish the mission:
Objective Head to the location in space. Start by destroying the fuel depot, and then moves on to destroy the pirates in the next area. 1.0 Location Cistuvaert
I get to the place appointed, but there is only "a thing" that serves to jump. There is no fuel depot to be destroyed. So I give jump and arrive in a place where there is an abandoned station, but there is no fuel depot to be destroyed. Giving up trying to get back to the main station I find a kind of space pirate who begins to attack me. But I have no gun. What should I do? Where is this fueld depot that I have to destroy? |

If i remember correctly, The fuel depopt is next or near the destroyed station. You'll need to buy a weapon from the station or two. Buy a simple gun that you can use.
Hope that helps. It's been awhile since i did that mission.

It's a basic tutorial agent so this is how it should go.
1. You accept the mission and recieve the equipment needed to complete it(Likely at least a weapon and some ammo). You'll also get a location to the mission area added to your locations.
2. You fit the equipment you got on to your ship and set destination to the system your agent provided. If there is some kind of problem with the equipment, you will get a message indicating what the problem is when you try to fit it on your ship.
3. You then travel to the destination system through a jumpgate.
4. When you are in the target system you need to warp to the mission area. There are a few ways to do this, but the simplest might be to right click in space and it should provide the mission location in the menu it shows.
5. Warp to that location and start the mission. This is often done by activating the acceleration gate, that you warped in to. All the targets necessary to complete the mission should be found within, unless stated otherwise. If you still don't find the structure in this area or another acceleration gate, it's propably been removed from your overview. |

If he can't even handle the tutorials I can imagine just how much fun his first visit to Jita will be...
Edit: after feeling sorry for the newb I decided to add:
When you can't complete a mission it's usually because you're not reading the instructions completely and you're missing a step somehow. You will get nowhere in this game if you are lazy. EVE rewards people who pay attention to detail and subtle things. It's not a perfect game. It's not even a good game. But it is a fun game with an active community. The problem is that the "activity" the community is involved in is usually trying to kill you or rip you off. Welcome to the "real" world.
So pay attention to your instructions, remember your previous tutorials, and you will do fine. |

Overview setting issue, perhaps? Is that the mission where Aura tells you to turn on "Large Collidible Objects" in your Overview? |

I believe it is the tutorial step Target Practice: Blowing Things Up.
When you warp to the mission, there should be a Tutorial Fuel Depot, which looks like a giant barrel.
Usually, the Tutorial Fuel Depot appears right in front of your ship when you warp to the mission spot, but sometimes players have trouble seeing it, because they don't know what they are supposed to be looking for.
If you warp to the mission again, and still can't see it, you can change your Overview settings so that it will appear in your Overview:
1. Click the tiny little square icon (it looks like 4 tiny lines) on the top left corner of the Overview. 2. Choose Open Overview Settings. 3. Choose Filter tab. 4. Below that, choose Types tab. 5. From the list below that, choose Entity. 6. From the list that opens under Entity, choose Large Collidable Structure.
There should now be a Tutorial Fuel Depot listed on your Overview. Click on it in the Overview, click the Lock Target icon, click your gun to shoot it and destroy it. If your ship has drifted away from the area while you were looking around, you may need to approach closer to the depot to damage it.

IIRC the gun should be fitted to the ship when you get it, and the Aura tutorial box drops the ammo in your inventory before you undock if you follow instructions. The tutorial (not the mission) tells you how to fit ammo inflight. You need to kill the space pirates before getting to the depot. |

I believe this is most likely the issue

The first month of EVE you have access to the rookie chat. I recommend asking there for real time assistance. There are some really good folks, including ISD which are people volunteering to make sure your experience is as good as it could be. (Unlike some of the rest of EVE plotting the exact opposite). Aideron Robotics is hiring for the Gallente Federation war effort! https://www.aideronrobotics.com/wiki/Applying |

Still new after eight and a half months?
If, somehow, you really aren't just trying to troll, I would suggest following the advice already given or ask your questions in the appropriate forum (appropriately named EVE New Citizens Q&A).
Good luck.

Thank you all! Sorry for the inconvenience. I registered a long time in EVE and tested 14 days but only now was able to find time to learn and play. I found the fuel depot. Following all the instructions that you gave me, I checked that Aura did not give me the equipment to mission. No weapon. I had to get one by my self. Another thing ... Aura didnt inform me to turn on Collidible Large Objects... It is a basic tutorial but some intermediate steps are not basic (for a beginner) and Aura does not teach these intermediate steps. If you were not talking about equipping the weapon, for example, I would be lost, because the tutorial does not teach the to equip. Thank you all! |

the tutorial and mission structures changed in the last year. perhaps this caused a problem between the missions and the actual tutorial prompts, which are mostly separate but linked together for new characters. glad you got around it, anyway. |

As it turns out, after posting here yesterday I created a new alt to be a trader and happened to get this mission while doing the career agents for standing.
When you get this mission you do not receive any fittings upon accepting the mission. HOWEVER, if you click the "next" button on the tutorial in the bottom-right, you get to a panel where Aura gives you two items - a weapon (I think it was a Small Electron Blaster I) and a small civilian shield booster. She then explains how to fit them to your ship. If you skip this tutorial or don't click through it, you won't receive these items.
Once that's done and you warp to the location, there is nothing there but an acceleration gate. Activate the gate, and you warp to the location that has the fuel depot. You are crazy close to it after warping - within 1000 meters, and a large tutorial tooltip appears pointing it out. Upon destroying it, your ship takes some shield damage since you're so close - this is part of the tutorial, as Aura then explains how to activate the shield booster to repair your shields. |

Right, unlike the old days where you appeared out in space or more recent out in space or in a station, the ship is out there in space, you get it, then haul a cert back to the station., the tutorials give you the items now (or an agent does).
I created 2 alts for different purposes than my main toons in the past week and due to the changes, I felt like a newbie again for a bit. :)
it has been fun so far... even found a ship I normally would not fly to be very fun and a tough little bugger at that.
Don't mistake fact for arrogance, supposition for fact, or disagreement for dismissal. Perception is unique in that it can be shared or be singular. Run with the pack if you wish, but think for yourself. A sandwich can be a great motivator. |
