One last thing to add is one of the biggest assumptions everyone makes is the most fascinating to me;

Everyone assumes players who speak pro-bear, pro-casual, pro-playstyle are all casuals and care bears. From my research, Anslo does not seem to be a care bear.

This is the issue I take with you and others like you. Years ago, Eve was a true community. Yes people bashed others and trolled etc, but no one truly persecuted due to play style. We were all Eve players, pod pilots, and we were quite happy (at least those I interacted with, on this alt AND my main). But recently I have noted that there is a staggering increase in anti-casual and anti-carebear sentiment to the point that it is almost a new form of "cyber racism." It is your continued assumptions that these casuals with to "spread misery" and "ruin it for us." They just want to play the game.

I highlighted the part you chose to ignore. I spoke of the community, not the game. People still scammed and killed etc etc. But the community overall was tight knit despite differing playstyles...well maybe not moo but, whatever.

Whether you afk mined, industrialized, pirated, built empires, or ran missions, people didn't care. They were still decent people, friendly, we were a community.

Now we have people like Jenn tearing a rift down the middle of what was once a tight and passionate community by positioning players in an "us vs. them" style. It's sad.

I did not say argument never happened, simply that it has increased much more recently than it has in the past. One need only look at GD to see this. Volume wise, there seems to be far, far more.

An interesting angle, but that makes that assumption that the majority of posts would be of a negative, persecution-type nature simply because there are more people.

More players != more vitriol
