Interesting now that the initially denied blobs existance is confirmed, the secondary statement is made that the 60 pilot fleet had other plans. How and why you set your fleets to a task is your business, but the invading fleet only sees what you actually did in game and only has that information to work with. We saw your fleet accumulating and when we went into HED a fleet battle appeared emminent.
What else could we think when your fleet slipped into safe spots and never stepped up to the challenge?
Now, you state your plans were to move to FA space. Again, the reasoning is your business, but a mistake was made in assuming that defending home space would have top prioroty.
As for the length of time the stations are held, that will not negate the fact that 3 stations were taken. A large ATUK (et al) presence was there to do something about the attacks and chose not to act. I assumed that those involved wisely chose to stay away because they knew they would suffer massive losses.
We all know most spaces are owned or not-owned depending on the in game presence of the 'owners'. However, losing a station is a tangible loss, and not simply a loss of 'presence' in the space. No re-taking of the stations will remove the embarrassment of losing 3 stations without a fight while a 60 ship fleet was somehere in game, which at one time was in the same system as the invading fleet.
Generally, the price of 'wisely not losing massive numbers to a superior enemy' results in having to deal with the aweful taste of humility. The only counter to that bitter taste of humility is to reclaim your stations and figure out a plan to avoid a repeat. Doing so does not diminish what was already done. Not reclaiming the stations would be a strong bit of evidence that a serious problem exists with ATUK, et al. It will be interesting to watch how this all develops.
And for the love of (insert your favorite diety here), why do so many have to resort to child-like playground talk in these forums?
Not one single ship has ever been destroyed on the forums.
