I'd like to thank all people involved, this was my first time i actually got to participate in an event. Thanks ccp... or who ever made that mission.
it was fun, i even tried to double cross the event charater pretending to have the cargo he whanted, he escaped me. and dammmm that was a lot of fun....

Since this event did not make it into the news, would you or someone else have the time to tell us a little bit more about it? It seemed to be an enjoyable event, something I have not heard of lately ;)

Sure,
It was an event were we, should attack a sebistor convoy. The brutor charater that made the mission claimd that Sbeistors had hidden tech they were hiding, and we should destroy the convoy and bring the stuff to him.
Here most ppl start flaming him, saying they will protect the convoy.
I go along staying were much in charater, and roleplayd as much as possible and enjoyd evry bit of it.
I ended up attacking the convoy 1 jump from its location, by that time some amarr player had allready taken out the freighter, so not much mission left. I attacked the convoy loosing my ship purposly (more or lesss ehm....) to seem thrustworthy to the event char.
I convoed the Event char, and said i whanted to meet him, course i had collected the stuff he whanted. (didn't have any thing, just whanted to kill the Brutor slime attaking my sebistor bretheren)
I pursuaded him to meet me in open space. (planning to kill him)
I got a corp member to go with me, to kill him. We meet in Hek but he ran of. but still it was fun participating in such an event.

Do you have any info on the people that were trying to protect the convoy? Could they do it by counterattacking the Amarr? Or did they get pwnd by Concord? Well maybe I should first asks where this event was taking place....

took place in and around Vullat system minmatar space, and i dont think any of the protectors found the convoy.
and from what i know, if the protectors had fired at the attackers concord would come down on them, since thats what has happend in the past so i've read in here.

Event convoys usually come with several event actor ships that protect it.
Or, if actors are going to attack the convoy players are hired to protect it.

This is the second event I've witnessed where one Minmatar character attempts to persuade pilots to attack another Minmatar. In both cases, the event failed because the actor was insufficiently convincing. I think the lesson for this kind of event is that something extra must be done to establish credibility in order for the event to work.
The fact that the actor made no attempt to exclude Tyrrax Thorrk, Viceroy or any number of Amarrans from the event channel certainly didn't help his credibility any. And astute observers no doubt noticed that yet again, Tyrrax and Viceroy magically appeared just before the event started. As EG has suggested, there is clearly a leak in CONCORD.

on that you are totally right, the Event charater should never had let amrrians into the event channel in the first place.... A true minmatar would never let amarss in on secret minmatar information.
And as it was the Amarians ruind the mission by taking down the hauler, and denying to deliver the stuff from inside.
i wasnt better i pland to kill the brutor, but that's course its an event its roleplay and since im a sebistor, i whanted to stay true to my charater.
another thing i thought of was, that people do very littel roleplay in these events thats sad. roleplaying further would increase the fun of Events.

In what way did it fail? After all they maybe both Minmatar, but there is no love lost between the Brutors and the sebiestor and was the brutor in question a member of the Ammatar?

OHNOES!!! Aurora are really leaking information to Viceroy and the rest, as really these events are for only them...
First of all, its not hard for people to find events its you just have to watch the race channels and such to find one, plus why should the exclude them from events? After all they pay to play the same as you, me and all the other players. Yes they have caused problems for Aurora, but thats the way things go, the events from what i have seen have been opened ended and the way they go are dictated by the players.
What if Aurora decided "right today we are going to have a one off event, and we will be giving away uber loot".. you turn up only to be told "sorry you can't join in as your name is former slave and for RP's sake you would be constantly on the run and wouldn't have time.. please leave the area now." Or to be told "sorry you avatar is female, this is for males only.." or even nope.. "only for intaki only, so all other races and bloodlines please leave." would you say ok that fine.. no you would be spamming the forums saying oh thats not fair, i'm a customer as well.
