Seventy two per cent of Caldari's intact asteroid landscapes and 55 per cent of the Null's have already been lost forever. Now the Gallante's belts face the same threat.
While the causes vary from region to region, they all have one thing in common: strip mining. Through orca stripping ,mob mining, multiboxing and crappy spawn, humankind is wiping out the asteroid belts - and the life that depends on them - at a terrifying pace.
What is being practiced now is unsustainable and will only harm the benefits of future generations(as in belt generations). As the belts are stripped of their minerals , the upcoming spawn will be much smaller in quantity and much lower in quality. Decreasing at 5% every time you strip a belt
For the sake of your own profit and the benefit of the whole of New Eden. Save the asteroid belts ,not just for your neighbors ,but also for yourself
Be in the know.

You might want to check your facts (have no idea where you got those numbers from) before you come up with a troll like this one. You would have done a lot better if you didn't stick null with high-sec kind of blew your whole troll apart.

Asteroid belt depletion is a common knowledge :P Generally , the asteroid size decrease by a factor of 0.05 every time you strip the belts. Obviously the ultimate minimum asteroid size varies according to the system and is entirely dependent on CCP's parameters.
But as a solid fact, asteroid belt chaining is invaluable to EVERYONE'S long term profit is indisputable
Really show me the quote on that , and which belts it applies too.

Really show me the quote on that , and which belts it applies too. Asteroid belt chaining applies to all belts . Call it an urban legend if you must , but anyone who dares to call him/herself a miner will understand such a fact. There is no real actual detailed research based on such due to the myopic view of the miners and it being an afk side profession But here is a few other threads that carries similar view. If a belt is left to grow , it'll reach size and yield of gargantuan proportions. http://community.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=39216http://community.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=39216
A discussioin from 2003 It has been mentioned as well that roid sizes are actually capped so leaving them grow forever doesn't do anything. It has also been said that roids grow a little every day. Others say they only grow during the days they are scheduled to respawn which is currently twice a week right now I believe. And of course there is the one about if you cherry pick you can slowly remove a certain roid from a belts with enough time. The list goes on and on.
However all this is completely pointless as all the above thoughts and rules don't apply to certain belts in null. Which makes this entire tread another troll.

Am I the dull edged one or are you the handicapped one
I don't know, have you figured out which belts the rules don't apply to yet ? And second considering in high-sec you are lucky to get more then 2 cycles from a single rock. What do you want people to do ? Take one cycle and move on the next rock ?
No I think it would be better to just start blowing up the planets, once they are broken up it will be a lot easier and more effective to get what we want out of them.
I think there is enough Titans around now with nothing better to due. Perhaps they should be modified into planet killers. Yes I believe our time would be better spent discussing how we can get the titans retrofitted into planet killers.
Then there would be no shortage of roids. EVERYBODY KNOWS |
