Every two seconds, an area of asteroid field the size of Jita is lost due to belt stripping or destructive practices. Seventy two per cent of Caldari's intact asteroid landscapes and 55 per cent of the Null's have already been lost forever. Now the Gallante's belts face the same threat.

While the causes vary from region to region, they all have one thing in common: strip mining. Through orca stripping ,mob mining, multiboxing and crappy spawn, humankind is wiping out the asteroid belts - and the life that depends on them - at a terrifying pace.

What is being practiced now is unsustainable and will only harm the benefits of future generations(as in belt generations).
As the belts are stripped of their minerals , the upcoming spawn will be much smaller in quantity and much lower in quality.

This sounds like goons/test trying to get miners to stop mining and resell wholesale ore and minerals.

What are you talking about? It's bad enough that ice doesn't decay like asteroids do. Removing the daily limit of resource extraction is just another way to screw over the in-game economy.

The regions I'm in at the moment, Everyshore and Essence, always have roids left over at the end of the day, in a stack of systems. Hardly anyone ever even touches the Arnatele and Grinacanne systems.

Good post, and something I think a lot of players overlook. Your average EVE denizen's thought process goes something like "hurr durr me mine belt, belt grow back eventually"; ignoring of course the tedious and manpower-consuming coding that goes into generating a new virtual resource.
