Edited by: Arkazzul on 13/06/2005 19:36:05 person A - shifu (stain empire) in maller outside station. person B - his loyal alt TOVER (noob corp) in scorpion. person C - 4S frig ------------------------
While we were killing shifu with scorp, tempest, ferox, crow tover was remote boosting him. which we clearly saw on graphic. Once we saw remote boost frig fired on tover, and got killed by concord. this isnt first time this happened ... last time "subzerodamage" with same alt tanked cyclone, ishkur, destroyer. we wrote petition then and got reply from gm - "sorry arka but u r tard who cant read, it all says nicely in bla bla some article (which i cant read since i dont know how)"
this is warning for all folks that fight in empire. be carefull in case enemy has "flaged scorp after helping ur war kos".

this is link to image which unfortunately proves nothing since shifu died in moment of capture and graphic is not shown. if u consider this aint proof, we gonna record next time and sacrifice kestrel next time.

It is dirty and disgusting, but yes. It is well within the game mechanics since no crinmal flagging is invloved.
Perhaps CCP should require that in order to remote anything postive you need to be in a group to prevent such abuse.

Response ([GM]Gusto) - 06/10/2005 04:22 PM Hi maric, Ganged players do not show up as war targets as per this clause in the article I linked you to: "Note that the character is not a part of the war per-se, as the character can not freely attack members of corporation B, but the character can be attacked by members of corporation B without consequence."
You are not supposed to be able to see clearly who is ganged with whom, if however you see that a player is aiding your war target then you are allowed to shoot that player. Unfortunately we will not be able to compensate your friends for their losses as we see no bugs or errors involved in this incident. Best regards, [GM]Gusto The EVE Online Customer Support Team

Any GM communications not said in open channels are considered private communications.

Well, this is really lame. We saw him once or twice outside the Agil station boosting his friends (oviously he is an alt). Next time we would have shot him but im lucky he didn't appear anymore. Looks like the whole criminal flagging system doesn't work...

If someone is flagged they have a flashing red reticule around their ship icon both inspace and on the Overview.
Are you at war with this Stain corporation? If so, anyone ganged with them or remote boosting them should be flagged in the way I've mentioned above. This means you can freely attack them but they cannot attack you until you have initiated aggression towards him.
I believe you can paraphrase a GM's reply but you aren't allowed to directly quote them.

Practically every corp uses alts as spys... putting them systems around the place they camp. About as ghey as that, if corps can condone using alts to spy systems, then don't whine about alts boosting.

Noone is whining about alts. It's simply the fact that the current flagging system doesn't work!
And no Joshua they won't flash red, because of the reason given above.

I'm not sure that's the complaint though? If a non-war enemy is boosting a war enemy, he should be flagged and available for aggression under the flagging rules.

What a load of b o l l o c k s, really!
Never heard about a more obvious exploit in the game before.
You cant attack a neutral boosting a wartarget and gets treated like dirt by ccp staff/gm whatever for inquaring about it?
A piece of this story must be missing somewhere. Why would a GM respond to you liek that? You were rude to begin with?
Even if that were the case, a GM should be obliged to reply in a corteous manner no matter what, nothing more than dignity on his part to not lower himself to the same level.
