I remember the day i started the game, i just finished the tutorial as a guy in corp chat offered newbies a ship worth 300k. I refused because i wanted to build up my own fortune from scrap....going the hard and slow way.
A lot of tension is going on on nerfing, but IMHO some of them make sense...take bookmarks for instance. I whas happy to see you can only have one bookmark, at least i can dust off my after burners again :-
Same for the factory slot issue, people where ranking up all factory slots to sell them at high profits. Yes it might not be an exploit but sure it whas not ment to be that way. It ruins a dynamic economy. Although i have to admit the solution turned out to be rather dramatic for some people.
It is always hard to prefent powergamers or old fashioned loot hoggers spoiling a game. Maybe CCP whas a bit ignorant or naive on that matter :-P
This game is fun, has a lot of depth and diversity, eventhough it still needs alot of balancing, but its a new game. People should worry less about how do i get a cruiser or millions asap. Whats wrong with slow advancement, enjoy the game play the game, make a difference in the EVE galaxy.

Iagree Eve is a total blast and I've been playing since a day after release :)
All on my own I have aquired some things most people think you need to have a corp buy for you hehehe.
Anyway as far as bookmarks go, I miss being able to have multiple bookmarks per system... Maybe they could be used in some exploitive way, but I really don't know why they killed this.
If you take the time to make a bookmark to cut 10 minutes off your travel time to the belt and back to station whats the problem?
Was it because it could be used to Ninja mine more safely?
Maybe... But it did make the game more user friendly.
I don't even bother with Bookmarks anymore really... It's pointless if you ask me, everything I would bookmark (except agent missions eTC), is almost always on the list of stuff inthe system anyway... if not it's an icon maybe...
Oh well... EVE still rules though.

Yep, the bookmark fix is one of many items listed in the Patch Notes preview posted today in Information Cental here on the Eve boards. If you haven't viddied it yet, I highly recommend it.
