Edited by: Shiwan Khan on 15/06/2005 01:28:19 Tonight the combined force of Imp and G engaged a [5] fleet in SV5-8N and WD-VTV. Imp had around 17 battleships in HED-GP with the [5] fleet consisting of about 30 battleships according to scout reports separating a G fleet of similar size to the Imp fleet. As a few reinforcements trickeled into HED-GP Imp and G coordinated a plan of attack.
Finally the Imp fleet jumped into SV5-8N from HED-GP and held cloak while the G fleet that was in WD-VTV jumped into SV5-8N from the other direction. They warped to a covert ops while the Imp fleet engaged at the HED-GP gate in SV5-8N. Unfortunately i uncloaked too far from the hostile [5] force to target any battleships so i went to work on their frigs. The [5] fleet sat 100+ km above the gate, shortly after we began to engage the G fleet warped in almost on top of them, however, the hostile force was alligned to a safespot and at battle speed. They warped out without any losses while we suffered one.
They then proceeded to meanuver around and get a covert ops behind our fleet by 100+ km. They attempted to gank some of our further behind battleships, but all of the targeted ships got out. They did, however, killed a few frigs that were on the gate. Again the G force was ready and got another covert ops down and warped on top of them again, this time killing a Shinra Megathron. The [5] force again warped off to a safespot and from there, proceeded to instajump out of the system.
The combined Imp/G fleets went to the WD-VTV gate and jumped out as well. However, the [5] fleet was too fast and got into sniper distance again and were able to kill two Imp and one G battleships.
We then decided to get our forces consolidated and all warped to a common safespot, at which point the hostile [5] fleet decided to call it a night as it was probably late for the euros. All in all it was a fun night, even though we did come out slightly behind. Congrats on the tactics and hopefully we can do it again sometime. There was a little smacktalk but none came from the Imp side.

Sry shiwan, I have to correct you, we got 1 BS at the initial engagment and one on the second engagment. Was a fun hunting and being hunted situation, props to [5] and especially thx for calling it a night before we did, we were already really tierd, but didnt want to be the ones to log off this time
Oh and next time, plz dont call me first target, i seriuosly am NOT our fleet commander (although writing this will probably make you think i am... oh well...)

You had 60+ people spend hours and hours doing something a lucky pilot could do in just a few minutes (fly 3 jumps and gankz0r an enemy bs), and the worst part is that he'd probably not even lose his own bs, contrary to your 1 kill 1 loss stat.

Oh sorry for the incorrect numbers Bratzo. I did not see a ship go down, though it was hard to tell what was going on 130km away. It was a nice set of engagements at any rate.

No, but your name is both easy to pronounce and begins in a 'B' making it appear near the top of the overview.
I have the same problem, one of the reasons I dislike fleet battles, the other being I used to be dumb enough to fly a scorp. That and my computer isn't up to par sometimes, I think it may start on fire durring the big blobs sometimes.
I'm seriously thinking of useing an second account with a name like "Qwq89"

It was our 30 to your 45+ Confirmed, Just the way we like it, against odds.
Going for the support first was mean of you, my ship nearly didn't make it away, twice.
Thanks for jumping in and engaging, thanks for the lack of smack in local and thanks for the good fight.
See you soon... ___

So I'm not the only one that thought that. Thank god. Too bad I had to agree w/ you. =)
Honestly though, it's nice that you guys are respectful about it, but man, that sounded boring as hell.
Edit: Yet it was still more exciting then anything I've done today.

I am sorry but we did not have 45+. When Imp and G were at the Hed gate in SV5 i counted and there were 28 battleships that were friendly, plus we had maybe 10 frigs combined.

Imperium currently does not have our own killboard, however, VOTF does use Eve-Kills.com.

mister alt.
By this statement they allready admitted to outnumbering us cus 2 times 17 is 34 bs's on their side then huh. and since we only had 37 in gang and 30 bs's (according to shiwan, i disagree, but that's fine )... that leaves us 7 support, while you admitted to having 10 support allready. So want me to do the math for you or can we keep it civil?

xirt's group jumped 21 ships into sv5 including support initially, 13 BS, 1 BC, 1 cruiser and the rest frigs.. with at least 4 more BS joining later, and frigs jumping in and out regularly.. i didnt see the G fleet, it was reported to be 25 (total count i'm gessing, cant remember tbh) but i cant confirm this.
Hed local was 59 with [5] and IMP/F-E/Celes groups and 4 when both left (give or take the odd neutral)
nice post Shiwan Khan :)

Edited by: Cmd Woodlouse on 15/06/2005 10:15:54 G/IMP Fleet had far more support as i recall it.
In the SV5 the favor was on our side cause we could 2 times get the G-Part of the fleet in our desired range.
Then 5 did a very fast and good job on positioning their fleet in the next system on a sniperspot. We were to slow in following and landed on their desired range.
We lost this engagement then, but could hold the stance and loot.
It showed me once again why we often come to patt-situations with 5 like we did in the north: different desired engaging ranges. 5 are better than us at longrange we are better at close. U can see it on the fittings also
EDIT: oh btw. G fleet consisted of 14 bs and 11 support.
