Greetings fellow capsuleers,
I have recently started playing EvE again and to get the isk flowing again picked up my default hobby of missioning to get comfortable again and see what I want to do this time around. I'm set up in amarr space using lazorpewpew and pretty much perfectly skilled to do that. I remember getting good completion times on my sansha missions and decent isk/hour. However with all the new TD spamming my completon times are really getting hurt, and thus also the isk/hour and enjoyment in the game (waiting for drones to shoot down all the TD ships takes a while and is boring). As a temp solution I started using my blaster proteus to kill the TD ships and then switch out to the paladin again wich is a bit better then just sitting in the paladin, but not my ideal situation. So what would you do in my situation, keeping in mind I want to keep lvl 4 missions as a back-up source of income regardless of what I plan to do in EvE.
- Sit it out and hope CCP changes the amount of TD/its effectiveness.
- Stay in amarr space and skill up for a different set up: I could skill up for say a Mach and facemelt at short distance, not caring for the TD penalty's. Or skill up missiles and caldari and just swap to that for missions (longer investment skillwise though)
- Stay in amarr space and get a second account to dualbox with. My alt is semi trained in combat and could be used for this in a month or so. More hassle and the isk/hour will go down as I need to play to pay 2 accounts then.
- Move to an other region with better NPC/less annoying EWAR. Seems to be the easiest and least intensive option, but then the question would be what region offers good targets for lasers that doesnt have annoying ewarr?
- Move to an other region and train for something else -> lasors arnt worth it in PvE anymore!
Those are basicly the 5 options I can think of. So what would you do in my posistion? Any other tips are also welcome! |

Im currently in a beam paladin for the loot/salv on the go option, wich supplements my income nicely. I have considered going range, might eb I just have to try it out sometime (on the paladin then so i dont have to invest in a nightmare just yet if I dont like it) |

Aye I considered that, but it would mean reskilling into either matar or caldari as lazer damage is the suck against angels. That said it is a good suggestion and I could always skill up while getting standing with a new matari corp... their ewar are painters right? |

what factions do you face then? Because there is no point in moving if I still end up fighting sansha in missions :) |

Funky Lazers wrote: Moreover if you have guns trained it's not that hard to switch to some gallente ship by training hybrids. It's very similar to amarr ships: armor tankers, guns and drones. Only requires gallente ships (BS or anything you like) and hybrids.
Might be the most pain-free option as I have the standings and most of the skills needed for a hybrid turret gallente ship back in gallente space (used to use drones fro lvl 4 missions). How is the serpentis ewar atm then? IIRC they use targeting dampeners and that could be a pain in the ass aswell... Did they get the same "boost" the Sansha mobs got?
