if you open the corp info tab for the corp your running missions for you'll see what standing level you need for there level 2 agents it will even list if they are available to you.
to raise standings with the corp you just do missions, the higher your standing the more agents you will unlock,
you can raise your factional standing by doing important missions, this unlocks agents working in other corps.
for example I have run missions for gallente navy but now have a factional status of 9.0 or so and can now run all agents in gallenet space.

If you can run lvl 1.
fastest way to lvl 2 is train connection skill to lvl 4. your in like flynn no more lvl 1 missions.
don't even have to run anymore, skip lvl 1 completely by training it to lvl 4.

well my standing is 3.2. I went to an agent that is available to me but they said i am not worthy and need to use an agent further down the ladder.
Just I just need to do more missions with the level 1 agent

Edited by: Thidrek on 17/06/2005 14:48:30 I suspect you missunderstood the agent saying you are not worthy. If an agent is aviailable to you, you can do missions, but if you try to do missions where you need a certain SKILL (eg. an industrial skill) the agent will show up as available, but wont give you any missions because you lack that skill. My guess is this was the case. The second posibility was you tried to get a mission from a storyline (important missions) agent, when you hadnt got an email telling you that.
There are 3 important standings for you: a) Agent b) Corporation c) State
Lets look at them one by one. a) If you can do missions with an agent, it doesnt matter how much you raise your standing to that agent, it wont change anything by other agents (regarding getting new missions). b) The agent you do missions for belongs to a corporation. When you do missions for that agent you also raise your standing against the corporation. But much less per mission than you raise standing against the agent. c) The corporation is part of a state, eg. Caldari State, Amarr Empire, etc. Same here as in b, but again you gain even less standing per mission.
Ok, so how can you get missions from another agent, an agent with higher quality or level? An agent that belongs to the SAME or a DIFFERNT corporation or state as your agent now. If the next agent (your goal) belongs to the same corporation you need to raise your standing against that corporation as needed. Same logic goes for state.
Fastest and best way to get to next agent? 1) Like said, get Connections! For each level you train it you gain a bonus (which is added at ones level is trained) to each agent, corporation and state in your "liked by" list. The bonus for corporations is about 0.5 per Connections level. I especially mention corporations here beacause you are going to be mostly interesting in that standing (until you are uber enough to have high state standings). 2) Do your level missions for same agent OR another same level agent that belongs to SAME corporation. In no time with some Connection training you will get to level 2, level 3, level 4.
If you try to do level 1 mission without connections and do them at different agents in different corporations or even different states you will have to do them for ever ...
PS. As mentioned storyline agents opens up new posibilities in new corporations. You get a new storyline mission every 16 missions you do. á áááTraining to Human Age level 50, ETA 4 yearsááá |
