K3NDY	Posted - 2005.06.19 16:12:00 - [1] im not sure why u lot have pirate tags, infi u missed out on 30mil isk ransom u asked for because u would rather pod someone and not get paid? pirates try to comit crime for profit right? same goes for beer n kebab, u got me and a few other corp members and didnt profit from it at all, i had 100% insurance and a spare loadout for my ship, u wasted expensive ammo for 0 return. sorry guys but thats very poor piracy. ps - im not a 'carebear' and when my skills are up a little bit more i will pvp properly.

I can't see a problem there. :) I'm by no means trying to be an ass, but why did you write this post at all? Piracy is a broad definition and everybody gives it his or her own twist, it's been discussed over and over again and after all everybody concludes that it means whatever one wants it to mean. If people like to shoot you without making as much profit as they could, leave them be. No need to inform them about how bad they are at what they're doing, no need to inform them about what you did not lose, ignore it, move on and make sure you win the next encounter as posting about it will only provoke flaming and pointless discussions. :)
Liu Kaskakka	Posted - 2005.06.19 18:37:00 - [4] Cheers Verone, but I wasn't there to shoot him - I've been concentrating on getting myself blown up recently. ^^ Anyway, what it comes to ransom/gank, the odds are that if the person is willing to pay a ransom (rare) they have something valuable in their cargo/setup and isk-wise it still makes sense to blow them up (even if you risk the valuables getting blown up aswell). And, since I've been carebearing a bit with lvl 4 missions, I don't really need the ransom money to support my activities. Having said that, sometimes I do ransom people just to roleplay a bit. But after a few "** off, you piece of **" answers to convos, you cannot be arsed to even try and just enjoy the ships going boom.

Death happens in this game. Not really 'poor piracy' at all either, I think it's more of the fun factor of killing someone, and having them come here to cry about it. :)
