Edited by: HUGO DRAX on 20/06/2005 17:42:58 Add a skill called Corpse Reanimation and one Called Zombie Electromechanics. And with these skills and a labslot you can create a special drone with the strength based on the skillpoints of the user killed. You can only create one drone per corpse. create a Tech 3 for this type of drone/s
This could add an interesting trade mechanism in the game where people buy/sell corpses and corpse based drones etc..

An interesting, yet macabre idea...
The only problem I see with it is a bit o' backstory that says that the brain scan that saves one's consciousness upon pod-breach reduces the brain to pudding in the process
Still, can you imagine an attack o' the space zombies?

Best suggestion ever. Base the cost of creation off the persons clone cost or its highly exloitable. I could spend 11mill per suicide and make 50m off each drone....

How about make it were you can just shoot the corpse out of a gun, and it deals a automatic wreaking hit, im not serious, but would be funny for the recieving end to say: "We've been hit by an officer!!." "Well return fire, (scuffle) Not me damn it!!!"

Sounds good I'd like something similar, when X amount of corpses can be reanimated as you say and give bonuses to your ship, such as X% more shield recharge etc. ------------------------------------------

Was thinking of how I could make this into a comic, that sounds like it could be a winner. :)

Why not have special mount points on your ship for corpses. That way people can tell you're really evil from a distance, what with all those corpses stapled to the hull.
Using Corpse Staple IIs to mount them keeps them from falling off when you go to warp? :)

Good suggestion but..
Couldnt someone then just repeated pod themselves, pick up the corpses and then have an army of super-skill drones

Would a high Sp charachter not be able to just pod himself over and over again though ?
presuming they can make more isk from the drone than the clone costs

Ooh, I like it :)
And I doubt high SP players would podkill themselves for the corpse, their clones cost too much.
<- use to play necromancer in other games :p

Well some limitations such as self podkills would need to be in place to prevent abuse. And Creating these drones would require some tech2 components and high end minerals + some level V skills. It would not be something easy to abuse yet add an interesting twist.

Not really, because the biomass still needs to be melted down, reprocessed and reformed into a new clone. So clearly a grade A+ corpse would sell for less than it costs to buy a Grade A+ clone. With this in mind go roll your eyes completely out of context somewhere else. .+ (_) Fetch the holy hand grenade |

Pilots for Tech 2 drones!
The drones cost a small fortune, but are fitted with weapon types that the zombies original skill levels apply to (maybe with a -1 level multiplier due tot eh fact that theya re the recently dead)
so instead of ogres, you would have the equivalent of mini frigates piloted by the corpppses of your enemies, to be launched at your command
Of course after a battle you could scoop any left and use them yourself, and even perhaps reclaim your own zombie!

Wait a minute, is this serious? You realise, of course, that it's possible to manufacture practically infinite clones by detonating your pod repeatedy on an alt and then scooping them up, right?

I'll sign on with this corpse use idea too. I'm against there being anything ingame that is useless. Either make the corpse have an ingame use, even if it's allowing us to stick em on our ships as decoration, or remove them from the game.

I agree with Jacques Mano. Soylent Green BPO, requires frozen corpes, produces frozen food. Gets rid of all those frozen corpes which have no use other than cooling the tins of beer in the cargo hold and provides a nice revenue stream on the market...
