Interceptor with as many low slots as possible.
- 4 of the best overdrives you can afford. (speed over agility - for fast afk travel)
- navigation 5, implants, and gang boost if possible.
- gisti mwd.
Now that's a speedy shuttle.

Gonna disagree. He wants to get to the gates as fast as possiable align to warp as fast as possiable. Overdrives kill this to hell and back. Nanofibers are the key. In other words, overdrive might make you faster in the end, but nano's get you moving off the line a lot faster.
He should fill his lows with nano's, and put a MWD Gistii Type c is good enough, and put a battery in mid or two for these long jumps.

My Vigil fits 1x MWD, 2x Small Named Battery and 3x Nanos, I don't need a MAPC. Or did I read something wrong?

I use an executioner. Three named overdrives and a named 1mn mwd, gets over 3km/sec.
Switch the overdrives for nanofibres and see if the performance is any better. It might be since nanofibres give an agility bonus which inreases your rate of acceleration.
EDIT: Oh, and I can run that forever, no problems. Though you don't need to when travelling.

I think I have Nav 4 and a 3% velocity implant and my Executioner(s) will do over 3k with an MWD I and three Nano Is, plus they turn on a dime and get into warp ridiculously quickly. And of course fitted with no guns they're worth practically nothing, so getting one killed is more or less irrelevant if the pod gets out.

Yeah, that's why I use it ;). It's what, 35k for an executioner? Maybe 100k for the modules? I can make enough money to be able to afford to replace one of those by scratching myself for a few seconds.

To the original poster, sounds like ya wanna go cheap not much cash? Well the incurses is a really fast ship(spelling prol wrong) 1 MN MWD, nano, stuff for cap, couple of guns so you can go pop with a fight if ya get jumped, all T1 mods you can get almost 2500m/s skillz at slightly above average I am at work and cannot remember. Fast enough to putt putt around and do your light shopping and get to the gate, pretty fast for a cheap price.
