As i can see it, it has nothing to do with dishonor but with helping someone out thinking he had been lied to one guy defending his alliance mate calls out for unity. I understand your frustration uggs and there for ill apologize for solar storm but rob did what he thought was right and as a good ceo ill back my members up, but i hope you accept this appologie.

hmm sounds like a sucky situation only takes one pilot to screw the whole 1v1 system and no1 trusts anyone. Well if the guys sorry about it he should pay for his loss's and state an apology to prove his honour. If not fair do's some people like to play this game of screw over who you can.
Personally wen i do 1v1's (always bs) i have my buddy ready to warp in ONLY if they try anything that way it gives u some kinda power to get hte hell outa there. I also insist that i gang the guy from a ss (which i make as far away as possible from where the enemy fleet is) then if either of us leave the gang or sum1 else joins it we know either of us are gonna screw sumone over. I usually have my friends scnaning the enemy fleet too, to see if they warp off that way u generally cover yourself from ****wits.

Do people complain about these things just for the sake of complaining? Where was the point in posting this? There was a mis-understanding, and the pilot who offered the 1 vs 1 apologised for it. End of story.
Posting things on this forum in particular is probably the worst thing to do for anyone looking for an apology, but of course thats not what you were looking for. It's just an opportunity to make other people look bad because you felt a bitter about losing your ship.
We should really get a different forum for these type of posts, as they don't belong in Corp and Alliance discussion. How about a Judge Judy Decides forum....

I apologize for the incident you were involved in. I was not there but from reading this thread, I see micommunication and misunderstanding involved.
All I can offer is reimbursment for your loss in order to put this matter to a close, if you have not been reimbursed already.
I would like to also see the killmail from both the victem and the killer.

hmmm, dead horse!
when will people understand that entering a 1 vs 1 or whatever is at your own peril. Some people will honor it, some people wont. Simple as that. Even tho I agree its low its hardly threadworthy...

I actually have a lot of respect for many of the NBSI guys, you however don't make it on that list.

Ok so 1) its 1 vs ascn pilot vs ER guy 2) it happens ascn pilot get confused thinks u meant half armour. when u had half structure so calls in help. (yes calls in help) 3) the dueling pilot in ascn made am istake and apologises for it. 4) you come here whining about it ? and now want an apology from the sniper guy ... who responded to the guy dueling's request to warp to him and help? which makes the dishonourable act the dueling guys fault rob... who apologised to you before they saw or before this thread was posted.
Think you need to relook at the situation and reflect on you look an ass on the forum :)

Good point there. So when you do get popped, atleast you dont go nuts on the forum about how you got gheyed. Arranged 1vs1 are fun though, and aside from the off chance of getting raped, it works out well.
I suffered the getting sniped by Fedaykin tempest after his buddy realised that his harpy was gonna die to my crusader. I died :) But so did the HARPY!!! Feddie did what he had to... I was keeping my eyes out for the warp in.

A 1 vs. 1 fight has not a damn thing to do with skill. It's a module fitting contest and always has been from the day the servers went live. It's pretty cool when you end up in a 1 on 1 situation and come out on top, and fun sometimes even when you lose, but actually setting up such a fight and expecting it to go off as planned? It usually ends just like this one. -

Edited by: DrunkenOne on 21/06/2005 14:04:31 E-R & friends are****s but cheating in an arranged 1v1 is pathetic.
If you are that bad at eve to accept a 1v1, then need a BS to save you, just save everyone the trouble and quit now.
I've had several fun 1v1s against E-R (not arranged but at gates), and while they forum smack far too much for such an insignificant group, I do have to give them props for running around hostile territory trying to find 1v1s at gates, something which I always do.

Not in inty v inty. Piloting skills come into play in inty v inty more than anything else in eve.

He said in his apology letter that he had no idea what the apoc was doing he only asked the assault frig to warp in therefore he took no accountability for the apoc's actions.

The fact that he called in the sniperapoc to help because "you had armor" is probably the most pathetic part. So basically he was like "omgwtf its an equal fight, i thought he was 1/2 dead, now i must call for help because its fair fight!!!111"
Even more pathetic than Maza yesterday in hed refusing to 1v1 my INTERCEPTOR in an ASSAULT FRIGATE, the excuses were hilarious.

From the first page......
Quote: Uggs then started saying he would not do it because his ship was "half-dead". Rob had me shoot him until he was at half armour to even things out.
Uggs was at half structure, not half armor, which is where the misunderstanding comes from. I know which I would rather have half of...

Guys ,
(1) Please read a thread in its entirity before posting brash comments!
(2) After watching in local last night in HED, a MAZA pilot try to convince an ATUK pilot that if he was willing to duel at the SV5 gate alongside the MAZA pilots five buddies they would not interfere I don't think you guys can comment on breaking duels.
(3) I myself have had over a dozen duels in the past few weeks, both in the North and South, and have never had a problem with people being dishonourable. Please don't attempt to label an alliance of over 1000 members (+alts?) by the actions of a few, whether or not they were right, or wrong (although in this case 'accidental' seems to be the best word to describe them).
(4) Oh and lastly if you truly do believe that ASCN has 'lost face' in this single, rather confusing thread, then PERSONALLY your the type of person who I couldn't care if they respected us or not.

That made me a sad panda . I was in an interceptor and he was in a wolf and he agreed to a 1v1, then asid "ok warp to me at the sv5 gate and we will 1v1 my friends wont interfere." A neutral offered to gang us both and warp us to a safespot and then leave and let us 1v1 but he refused.
I think my personal favorite excuses as to why he wouldn't duel were "I'm not fit for fighting 1v1s I'm fit for gang (I was also in a gang)," "This is my first time flying assault frigs (so why did you want to 1v1?)," Oh and of course "lolol if you want to kill me then bring more friends!!111"
Of course after that they all decided to chase me when I jumped into your waiting frig fleet, and they got owned and safespotted and logged, so I guess I took his advice about bringing more friends.

Edited by: Krapz on 21/06/2005 15:51:51 This is quite possibly the quirkiest thing I've read posted out of E-R to date Uggs. Like I've said, I respect you guys as PvP'ers. I know you are good tacticians and what not, and very poor diplomats, and probably self-admittedly too. Perhaps this thread only reinforces it.
If you wanted money cuz you felt jipped, just ask, and I'm sure someone would have repaid youThis is quite possibly the quirkiest thing I've read posted out of E-R to date Uggs. Like I've said, I tried to respect you guys as PvP'ers. I know you are good tacticians and what not, and very poor diplomats. Perhaps this thread only reinforces it.
So try these on for size.
"When do you quit beating your wife?" "When did you quit using all those drugs?" "Do you still like little boys?"
The point is, none of them would be true, but it's the allegations that do the damage, isn't it?
Poor form for you guys to come in here and flame a guy for this. If it's a 1 v 1 that goes bad, and you can't reesolve it amongst yourselves, then wtf does each other's corps or alliances have to do with it? If it were fleet combat, 60 on 60, that may be different, but that is obviously not the case here. Come on, 3 ppl witnessed this incident and you want to make some sort of Eve-O drama out of it. Come on.
I don't think any different of E-R over the issue, but I obviously do think different about Uggs, and the ppl involved if this can't get resolved. See how that works?
