I also think that Shamis deserves a nomination, and obviously my opinion is seriously biased, but I've never spoke to him prior to when he became my CEO so I can't really judge. ;)
I've gotten into SNIGG because I saw a recruitment thread here, just signed up, sent him an eve-mail and I was in. For all he knew I was a corp thief coming from some dubious carebear corporation nobody ever heard of (no offense Dr), but he decided to see how it went I guess.
Anyhow, after not so long I became quite skilled at losing expensive ships to either stupidity, inexperience or taking unneeded risks. I became so proficient at this that I was skint nearly all the time, my kill/loss ratio was awful, I had to put new ships together all the time and honestly this wasn't such a great experience of what I thought it would be to be a pirate. Actually, I found it to be damn hard at times.
Back to the guy who deserves the props - he kept me stocked for a good while until I learned how to be actually successful at PvP'ing, or at least calculating and minimising the risks of doing it. If it wasn't for him I probably would've quit EVE because I simply couldn't keep myself financed and had absolutely no interest in going back to carebearing at all. It was all or nothing, and it turned out to be everything.
That's just one of my own examples of how I personally appreciate Shamis for what he does and did, his patience and his ability to think rationally.
When it comes to actual achievements that have been made under the command of Shamis, I'd like to mention the fact that he got us the Valhalla versus G mercenary contract. This contract was awesome. Unfortunately I don't think I can give you exact numbers, but trust me, we weren't short on anything, isk or material wise.
Complementing the above, we were also the first corporation who was able to take the C4C station in Fade under the command of Shamis in this war. Credit where credit is due - our allies helped us, and granted, we didn't manage to retain ownership, but if you looked at the amount of effort that was put into this siege, the golden medal goes to Shamis.
As far as I'm concerned, he deserves another golden medal or two when it comes to our POS. Along with Atos, Rho (who sadly have both quit EVE) and a few others, he managed to get our entire large POS, ammunition, modules, fuel, ships, cans and all other nuts and bolts required 20 jumps into hostile 0.0 space - Pure Blind (!) - and set it up in a strategically awesome location, no more than 15 jumps away from any major region of action.
I would also like to mention the saving of our POS when it was just put up (or even onlining still) - it was under siege by the IRON alliance and everybody had pretty much given up all hope. Shamis coordinated a rescue attempt, which worked flawlessly (thanks to Rho and his "natural bookmark" ;z). If it wasn't for his thinking and ability to motivate people/boost the morale/get things going, we would've been sitting in empire scratching our asses. Shamis brings up a lot of good ideas, or makes decent ideas even better.
That's why he's getting my nomination of number one leader, not only as a CEO, but also as a commander, liaison and cheerleader. :)
