You have no idea what you are talking about.
Just think of it for a wile, what would happen if total invulnerability would be available on a competitive PvP server?

invulnerability... if you, like me, dont like pvp you avoid it like the plague so the invulnerability should not make that much of a difference.
I'd actually like to see us be allowed to pay some addtional amount to get immunity and then if ever discovered to participate in pvp in any way, shape or form the immunity is null and void permanently
We all compete for ISK, resources and space. Competition is everywhere - in the belts, on the market in the battle field. Competition is the driving force of EvE. How can you have missed that?
In a competitive environment ,no-one wants to pick a fight they cannot win. That goes for most PvPers in EvE. Many will go a long way to avoid fighting in many situations by, for example, making safe spots, scouting and fitting cloaks. Others will fit a tank on their mining barge so they are not an easy target.
If total invulnerability was available, everyone would have to use it to gain an advantage and that would effectively kill EvE.
