Are there ANY work arounds at all to this? I undocked using a shortcut and now my char is floating in space, still with the blackscreen covering everything :).

It is hard to know what you are talking about from the limited description you have given. Run the logger before you run the client and when you have reproduced this, send the log to [email protected].

Log in an alt, undock and dock with that alt (and wait for the station screen to load and all), then log in your main again. All chars must be on same account ofcourse.
This is some very annoying bug since the last patch.

Richard, I will do this tonight. As for what I am discribing, when you click on a character on the "Character Select Screen", the loading bar gets to 80-90% and freezes. The music starts, and I can undock from a station using a shortcut, but the entire screen is black apart from the progress window.
As for logging in an alt - the same thing happens to the alts I setup too. Progress bar stuck at 80-90% and a blackscreen.

same here!
i actually went to a friends house and undocked, all was fine untill i docked again and it happend the same way, music playing, loading at 80%
edit: i tryied useing an alt but i couldent load the station on thr alt either

If this is the same bug as before turning off load star base environment will fix it. Once you logged in you can turn it back on.

I've submitted a full bug report (dxdiag, logserver file, screenshot) - nothing has worked so far :/.
I turned off load starbase environment and made a new alt and the same thing happened again. My other 2 chars are currently floating in space :).

if i try and load it and CTRL+ALT+DEL the program and do it over again 2 or 3 times i can load the station...but its a big hassle - also - after i undock, if i redock again the same thing happens and eve locks up
also have a friend having the same problem

had the same problem, turning of the 'load station environment' didn't work for me. Clearing my cache solved it. Haven't docked since then so dont know if this permanently fixes the problem.

i think you have to do this every time you want to dock again

same problem here i am unable to log into the sisi server since 2 patches ago. I get stuck at 80% while i get the message that im activating station. (my chars are docked)

we need bug reports and log files about this please.
a possible work around is to patch upto 3499 and delete your cache. but if you could send a br and log file before you try the work around, that would be great thx

Forgot to mention that I sent a full bug report (LogServer, dxdiag and screenshot).
Clearing the cache did the trick btw :).
