A suggestion based on the following: The current forums are overpopulated with those for and against Eve and most of the serious issues are clouded in personal feelings. At present any valid constructive argument for or against aspects introduced into the game are shouted down by the anti brigade on either side without any serious rational debate going on. Either that or the threads disappear to the previous page before anyone has a chance to read them (thinking CCP here ū judging by their absence other than somewhat overzealous Mods). Also the chances of the powers that be actually reading everything posted is doubtful. Nothing is more frustrating for a player than to feel he isnĘt being heard by the powers that be.
A way around this would be a Joint CEO - Devs- CCP Forum (with viewing access for all players).
CEOĘs of all +10 corps apply to join.
The CEOĘs are (hopefully) representative of the views of a healthy population of the player base and can all (hopefully) commit to posting in a non-inflammatory well-behaved manner. The +10 corp cap is obviously to stop any irrational or irate player creating a solo corp just to air his views or have a pop at someone.
CEOĘs are responsible for airing the concerns of their members and the general populace.
The only thing required of CCP is to respond to each and every concern etc objectively and without evasion. CCP havenĘt exactly enamoured themselves to quite a few of their customers thus far and as long as both sides stick to their side of the bargain the more cynical amongst us may be convinced they give a damn.
PS No heavy handed Mods need apply if everyone behaves (and CCP participate fully).

Two observations.
1) Pann used to run the Council of Stellar Management which was a meeting of 10 or so corp representatives and some freelancers who met once a week with developers and Pann and talked over game issues. It was supposed to change the representatives every four weeks. Now I haven't heard anything of this in a few weeks and can only assume it ended half through the last cycle. I'm assuming it ended as the developers didn't have time to devote to this sort of thing - might be a problem for this idea.
@ Pann: If you read this, any update on this?
2) One rep from each corp would not result in great results. CEO's usually have to spend a lot more time ingame when they are playing than scanning the forum. IMO 2-3 reps from the corp including and chosen by the CEO would work best.

As a representative from the last batch of Corps for the CSM, I received notification from Pann yesterday that my four week period had come to a close (despite only two meetings).
I assume from this that new delegates will be chosen soon, though explicit confirmation would be nice :) --

I think 1 rep, the CEO, is fine. The CEO should personify the corps ideals and goals and thus should be the sole representative. The number of people allowed to post should be minimal as not to have 5 page long threads within a day. I am all for this idea, and hope to see it implemented. The problem with the current council meeting is that they are planned at a set time, someone like me who has an Eve-unfriendly schedule cannot make these meetings. On this board, the timefactor is much less of a problem.

Just a thought. It shouldn't necessarily be the CEO. Our CEO is not a native English speaker and sometimes has difficulty getting the fine points of his argument across. Many corps may be in an even worse position in this regard because none of their members are native English speakers so they would need the best English speaker among them to be their mouth piece (e.g. RUS).
Just stick with one representative per corp and warn everyone that they will be banned if they are judged to be an ass.

Dude, CCP really doesn't give a rat's ass about your problems in the game. They will fix the bugs and add features at their own pace. Your opinion does not matter.
Yes, that sounds cold-hearted but it's just so true.

I disagree, they may not be interested in this specific idea and may have trouble sifting through all the suggestions (complaints) on the boards but I think they do care about player feedback when presented clearly and constructively (as long as it can make it's way to them).

Aside from every suggestion coming out leaning heavily towards the large corporations, what makes you think it's a good idea to have a forum where the only feedback the devs get is smoke and sunshine blown up their lower extremities?
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann
