Hello people.
I saw and still see something strange on escrows : some players put for sale a lot of Navy issue BS of all kinds. A few days ago, one player had 4 Navy issue Apoc, 1 Navy Raven and 2 Navy Megathrons on escrow. (and yes, I inspected the escrows, they were real Navy issue BS) My question is : How is it possible for a single player to have 7 Navy issue BS of all kinds for sale ?

In order of likeliness (if thats a word) I would imagine:
1. He bought them for X isk and was selling them for X+whatever isk. 2. He is a member of an uber mission running corp who are farming navy bs offers for sh**s and giggles 3. He is an ebil, sploitin' h@x0r who must be stopped at all cost
My thoughts anyway
I have heard the alpenhorns calling off the Shoals of Orion

Most probibly hardcore power gamers exploting the ease of lvl4 missions.
Personally i think he problbiy realised that with the release of Dreds shortly, the demand for faction battleships will decline and thus so will the price.
Economics 101 for you.

saw it aswell... Can't say i didn't feel any envy or greed, anger even because my sloth still hasn't brought me a single navy issue apoc. Farewell i say to my pride while the lust for such a ship becomes greater.
Surely the gluttony for isk of this person is way beyond normal.
Meh..i'm going to hell for using all 7 deadly sins in 1 post (i'm bored)

Actually it's not that hard to get 500-600k LP that is needed for these ships. Doing missions for one of the lvl4 qual 20 agents in a 0.1 system can net you up to 15K LP for one mission. So 1 faction BS a week should not be hard.

While the first part is probaly right... i know how easy it is to rack up that lp with a mission team working togther.
Basicaly, you can rack up the lp needed for an offer in the space of 3-4 days.
Just like 'anything' else in eve when you work together...
But erm... dreads won't be a bs...
Decline... maybe not.. to lots of people a faction ship is a trophy ship still... and if you think it will become less popular with the release of dreds... hell i doubt it.
Dreds or not, i still want my navy mega. --------

I've checked two on escrow yesterday and both were scam like one unit ore inside. One pyerite for 2.400.000.000 isk. omg. A lot of the standard battleships on escrow were scam, too. Did you check that for all the navy issues on escrow ?

The only reason I can think of that people put up scam escrows like that is because people actually fall for them

mmmh I wouldn't say that. Let's admit you work on the excellent agent you mentionned. Not all missions give 15K LP and those that do are Extravaganza or missions that will take 2 hours or so to complete. Let's say the average you get is 10K LP per hour (and I'm optimistic on this, I think) Getting 600K LP will therefore need 60 hours of constant work on your agent (that in a week ? I can't believe it !). To get the 7 Navy issue BS I saw on escrow, it's some 420 hours of work. Not mentionning the Nexus chips or the infernal tags you need.
Well, still, this seems weird to me.

Did you bother to check if the offers on escrow were the real thing or just a piece of trit for 2bill?
Because when I last checked almost 70% of BS and faction BS offers were scams........

Read my first post in this topic : "(and yes, I inspected the escrows, they were real Navy issue BS)" I know there are a lot of fake escrows, so I'm used to check. And YES, there were 7 Navy BS on escrow, all from the same person.

Theres some things that are still quite rare. Rattlesnakes and other pirate ships, as well as the faction cruisers and frigates. I do not see them often, and have never seen one in space, except possibly a Navy Caracal, but I might be thinking of a Deimos I saw one time. ---
